“Heard Mixed Reviews - Good & Bad”I only came across Thrive after seeing them on the Kaito Connect page. For those of you that are unaware, Thrive allegedly manages 200m across their ecosystem fund - hence aiming to position themselves as the "Layer Zero for Builders" or in less confusing terms the GDP layer for web3. The key metric they aim to push for is pushing for economic growth via onchain growth. How? It's basically a validation service for scaling. After TGE, the foundation/ecosystem has a sum set aside for builders & Thrive captures a portion of that to manage (& by default acquires a decent % [10-20%] as their management fees) What Thrive does from my understanding is help provide access to capital to builders by acting as an extension of their clients, working with a collective of builders & validators that review when value is created & oversee a milestone based funding program. I believe the mixed feeling component & the neutral review stems from that: - they've been present for a while & names they powered haven't done anything too different as opposed to their competitors - management fee is very steep (assuming an ecosystem worth 1b sets aside 20% of tokens for the eco fund, thrive manages 50% of that & charge their 20% - that's basically them receiving 2% of the treasury which is worth 20 mil - albeit theoretical revenue it's still pretty significant All in all, it will be interesting to see their network decentralise itself through their token launch & benchmark whether that actually brings across additional incentives for the network to optimise itself & improve the quality of work churned outon Thrive Protocol · 1543· 1y ago · neutral23
