What's pleasant about Lemz is that he remains extremely humble & he doesn't pantomime listen - but truly tries to understand.

He operates in the peripherals of web3 but his eagerness in understanding more about the space is a trait I wish other users had. We've been communicating for a while together & there's never a dull exchange - whether that's discussing sale strategies, markets, founder approaches, applications etc.

He's actually tapped into the trenches & is not afraid to experiment. Glad to see him get more recognition now.

That said, his reviews are fairly lackluster & uninformative which is disappointing since his content on X is more comprehensive. Refraining from leaving a negative review & choosing neutral as a way to communicate feedback & encourage higher quality reviews!

When I educate peers about ETH & how changes made at the consensus model ultimately impact the type of applications being built - they're always used in my examples. DeFi has always been about capital efficiency & putting your assets to work to receive as much yield as possible - which is what Lido has achieved after ETH upgraded to a POS made complete sense whereby users who wanted to gain yield from ETH were able to deposit them with Lido, receive an LSD composable with other applications so they could still engage in activities while receiving yield on their underlying assets. From my POV, i'd argue they are probably one of the precursor behind the whole restaking narrative with shared security.

He's also had some involvement with NFTs releasing a few collections around his IP Most notable one being this one: https://opensea.io/collection/nyan-cat-official I'm leaving a positive review as of now because as part of the OG creators of internet memes, he hasn't expressed an interest in launching a meme-coins to capitalise on the hype. I don't know much more than that

Debate the product all you want, but when it comes to distribution, Grass executed exceptionally well. They recognized early on that an incentive-driven model with minimal user friction would not only drive supply growth but also enable their team to efficiently generate demand. Impressive execution.

I know he is a polarising figure in the space due to Aptos but I will judge my impression based on that personal encounter. For anyone that's doubtful, here was my question & here is his answer: question: curious to get your take - there are nearly a dozen major web3 infra companies eyeing an IPO this year (Kraken, BitGo, Ledger, Animoca, Consensys, DSRV, likely more custodians too) which explains the surge in M&A activity the question: - do you see this as a signal that the industry is finally maturing? or is it less about maturity and more about regulatory easing - pushing companies to rush public listings before the AI bubble burst - on acquisitions: what kinds of companies do you think these IPO candidates would be targeting? i initially assumed wallets would be the obvious answer (e.g., fireblocks & dynamic, stripe & privy, paxos & fordefi) answer: I think a few of these companies are genuinely well positioned to go public, but I don’t think all of them will perform well once they’re in the markets. A public listing is not the same thing as having a durable business. Some of the fundamentals across these companies are still not fully formed, and history shows that not every first wave public company in a new asset class becomes a long-term winner. That said, I do think this is an important signal for the industry. Not necessarily a signal of full maturity, but a signal of permission. The fact that crypto companies can now realistically access public capital markets is largely a function of regulatory easing and clarity. That, in itself, is a big win for the ecosystem this year. It changes what’s possible. Whether those companies are defensible over the long run is a separate question. On the question of maturity versus timing, I lean more toward timing and regulation than true business-model maturity. Some teams may also feel pressure to move while the window is open, especially given broader market dynamics and the AI-driven attention cycle. I’m still forming a view on whether this represents deep maturation or just the first viable exit ramp. On M&A, wallets seemed like the obvious answer at first, but when you look closer, the distribution power and stickiness just aren’t there. Most wallets don’t actually control durable user relationships in the way people assume, which makes them weaker long-term acquisition targets. More likely, the real acquisition value will be in talent, institutional relationships, regulatory positioning, or embedded enterprise workflows. Public crypto companies will probably buy teams, licenses, partnerships, and access rather than consumer products with shallow engagement. So I agree with your initial intuition, but I think the answer shifts once you look past surface-level distribution and into what actually compounds in public markets.

With regards to the work he's done & accomplished, he'd have very little issues finding another position & jumping ship. but he stayed the course which I believe speaks volume of his character & stepped up as the CEO of Move Industries. People can hate all they want but any sane person would've left - which just goes to show how Torab is built different & he's the type of founder I am happy to get behind.
