He's someone that of course has some depth & is well-read in Stoic principles (the handle is a play of Seneca) & it's clear he's combined his appreciation for writing in his newsletter which if you've read are slightly (alot) longer than the average creator's. He invested early in a few projects (e.g. Blur) & has remained an active participant that's still highly regarded by the majority of folks. For new participants in the market, Zeneca was last cycle's ICO Beast

I actually only started following his page after the Movement Angel fiasco which he got caught in the cross hairs off. Yano's page mainly covers macros news wrt to Crypto (duh after all he runs a media & events company) & occasionally posts a gem for a podcast (the RWA ones are particularly insightful) Good page to follow.

Azuki launched during the NFT craze of 2022 & was my biggest miss - that said it was pretty memorable witnessing the journey from just: > Art > ERC721A > check your wallet moment / Beans / Wealth Creation > events > merch > PBT > Flashbots / TEE integration And to date I have yet to see a community where so many contributors provided work for the love of the brand Its a team effort but Z was at the helm of this all & I think, compared to any other IP teams in web3 besides the apes, the truth is Azuki with all their FUD could've just winded down but Z & his team pressed on. I acknowledge there were shady actions in the past (e.g. starting & failing a few projects etc) but today, no one can challenge Z on the fact that he's pushing the envelope on what unique experiences web3 can provide for Entertainment (which other web3 IP brands have worked with infra like coprocessors, TEE's etc) Thumbs up to Z, we need more builders like him

In a space where distribution is everything, I would feel more confident punting some tokens on secondary for Grass

Aside from having a real understanding of the space, Cobie's truly tapped in the culture with the majority of folks following him. I expect echo to grow even bigger due to the community alignment angle.

Critiques around Chainlink are usually that the infra is not optimised for the next-gen of applications and that their integration cost is very steep. On the former, I think that's fine because noteworthy competitors have already started surfacing (LZ, Redstone). On the latter, I think as a business they are just smart: Brands want to buy in trust, but really Chainlink has a few partners that use their oracles exclusively (e.g. Aave) If you want Aave you need Chainlink which I would count as a moat.

While he’s known for bullposting eye-watering valuations and occasionally fueling degeneracy that’s hurt the average CT user, he’s also pushed forward a core thesis that’s hard to ignore: every coin carries a memetic component, and the meme coin boom has validated that decoupling from fundamentals. That said, some claims - like “community coins are the people’s champion because they’re untouched by VCs” - don’t hold up. Empirically, lower valuation tokens are often dominated by large, fully liquid actors who can exit far faster than traditional VCs. If the price actions is to hit the billions, you would still have these actors around. In short: His thesis is directionally correct: most people chase moonbags, not tech. His picks (that he's getting called out for) - Still down bad (for now).

Despite criticisms, he's seldom compromised his brand and at his core pushes for the betterment of his space. I'm happy he found a place with beezie where he's able to blend his personal passion for collectibles, an area that many in the space have abandonned.

Few can contest that JW is not in the trenches actively looking for feedback & thinking of new ways to make uncharted a success. Singaporean founders have a bad rap in most cases but i think she'll be part of the wave that dispel this stigma.

I'm not sure how much I'm at the liberty of disclosing but here's the bullish thesis: We've seen Royco & it's pre-pre-market bootstrapping mechanism being adhered by other chains following Bera & more recently Turtle Club increasing in popularity. Mitosis unlocks new DeFi composability allowing users to maximise their capital efficiency.
