He has this unique style of making threads breaking down complicated protocols (mostly infra) & makes learning very fun. While lacking depth in describing how the protocol works, it gets the general message out (which I can't often piece on my own) and allows me to not stray or get dizzy when I digest whitepapers. I still think despite his explosive growth that he's criminally underrated. If you like web3 & you want to get further involved - do yourself a favour & follow Nairolf

People from the $bitcoin/sproto team live & breathe the "reverse mullet strategy": party in the front business in the back. from being just another meme to tackling building the most hyped L2 on the chain that has a bear on it. To be very honest I'm still very cryptic on what the L2 does but I know a few builders committed to that network already. RedKev is also an active community person & onchain user, gauged from his posts exploring DeFi yields on Bera but also randomly saw him stepping up to moderate the Steady Teddy telegram. Ted Bless

It was a masterclass & truly cemented Lambo as the Roy Lee of crypto: "tech is going to be incredibly commoditised, distribution is everything" They launched with a uniswap v3 fork which faced heaps of critique but by then momentum was sustained & this allowed the protocol to bootstrap itself with sufficient funds to build out the original plan they had in mind.

Everyone knows Skarly for his recent work with OCH on Abstract and the growing popularity of his game. His impact there is undeniable. What I respect most, though, is something less talked about- his clarity in prioritization: When I reached out to connect a few months ago, he quickly recognized that it didn’t align with his immediate objectives. But rather than brushing it off, he communicated it in a way that was direct, professional, and respectful -a rare quality that speaks volumes about his character.

I was surprised at the level of depth his reviews went, everyone of them is meticulously typed out & highly personalised. I feel we have the same approach & have been upvoting his content. There's also a wide array of reviews (positive, negative)

At that time, he personally reached out to wish us a good luck for the mint (it was a flop nonetheless but the gesture meant alot) He was also early in Canto NFTs & I remember exchanging a few thoughts around it. As a whole, I'm glad to see him keeping a close pulse on the markets & trying different applications - ought to catch up soon!

Balaji actually served as a GP to a16z, he was also extremely early in BTC mining & became coinbase's first CTO (a little history) Other than that, personally heard great things about the Network School he's kickstarted - I'd have been tempted to join myself if it wasn't for familial commitments since its a very attractive package (basically 1.5k pm for rent with all amenities included & connecting with only builders) Balaji is also part of our cap table but i've never had the pleasure speaking with him since my CEO manages that rship

on Balaji · 1918· 1y ago37“One of the figure heads of the Ethereum community”His bio states it but the work of Joseph Lubin seeps into our day to day, as an early advocate of Ethereum: Joseph served as COO in early days in ETHSuisse which was working on extending the capabilities of blockchains to store programs in addition to data amongst other things. He then went on to found Consensys - behind some of the most widespread consumer & infra products (e.g. Metamask obviously, Infura etc) More recently, with all his initiatives, there are parallels drawn to Joseph Lubin becoming the Michael Saylor of ETH (will believe it when I see it though)

When the node meta was hot, he was one of the closed off communities that were more eager to get ahold of Aethir nodes & progressively slowed down as he must have realised appetite was gone. He's well connected & it's great occasionally meeting him at events IRL.

The best part is how funny conversations with him get, what struck out in recent times is how he's been supporting projects that I haven't heard about (e.g. Kindred AI) & I think having connections like him can help any builder, should they choose to, expand their horizon on what's being built there.
