“Overly Hated Personality”To be honest, I’d probably lean neutral but seeing the amount of hate on Ansem’s profile, especially when he’s rated worse than actual grifters, kinda makes me question where the majority of voters are coming from. So I’m leaving a positive vote, just to help recalibrate things a bit on my end, despite knowing plenty of people will probably downvote it. I don’t think Ansem is inherently a bad person. Like many others, he tried to ride the memecoin hype. The difference is he had a huge platform and a lot of followers blindly aping into his calls. That obviously carries weight. There are a bunch of allegations floating around -some of them pretty wild, like personal attacks on his family, or claims that he pocketed WIF Sphere funds (even though those were later shown to be returned). A lot of it feels misinformed or just out of line. And while I can’t fully confirm this, Ansem actually flew out to speak with Ye & my gut tells me he genuinely tried to share his perspective to try to influence Ye in a positive way. So, is Ansem a good person? I don’t know. I met him once IRL at an F1 event at Amber Lounge & we barely spoke (I just got someone to take a selfie & went on my way). But I don’t think he’s inherently bad either. He’s active onchain, and while he loves to FUD ETH, he still uses new dapps and has helped some projects grow (Kaito, Avantis, B3, Wayfinder). In that way, he’s actually pushed onchain adoption with his reach. There are plenty of creators with similar platforms who only look to extract whereas Ansem has shown support too. He’s definitely after his own bag - he’s never pretended otherwise (I think CT just has an issue with that) but compared to others, I think he’s handled things better than most.on Ansem 🐂🀄️ · 1791· 1y ago36
