“A Cautionary Tale of Influence and Integrity”There’s no denying that Komo is a hard worker. He’s persistent, driven, and knows how to navigate systems to his advantage. But hard work alone doesn’t equate to integrity, and it’s important to be honest about what comes with that ambition. Komo has, time and again, shown a willingness to use his influence in ways that benefit himself at the expense of others. His advocacy is often selective, loud when he is personally affected, but silent when injustice doesn’t touch him directly. In his own words: “I’ve never supported racism, but let’s be real, it’s none of my business right now.” That statement says everything. People like him are not allies to justice or community. They care less about dismantling harmful systems and more about staying in the good graces of the ones that already benefit them. It’s a form of self-preservation dressed as pragmatism and it leaves those without privilege behind. Influence is a powerful tool. It should uplift, not exploit. This is someone who benefits from the very systems he claims to oppose, showing no real concern for the people left behind. He’s not interested in justice only in the version of it that keeps him comfortable.
