That alone is a monumental feat, especially in a time when users were reluctant to deploy capital into even the most promising ventures. Memeland launched with strength and ambition, with Memecoin positioned as the final milestone on its roadmap. But like many NFT projects that incorporate tokens, the inevitable crash and burn seemed almost written in the stars. ApeCoin, often regarded as the grandfather of this model from BAYC, faced a similar fate. Despite the hype, they couldn’t deliver sustainable tokenomics—proving once again that in this space, price doesn’t just follow sentiment; it defines it.
