From 41 activities · Apr 2026CEO of Helius and a core Solana builder known for shipping foundational infrastructure—RPC, indexing, and developer tooling that simplifies on-chain development. Recognized for deep technical expertise in Solana's ecosystem, direct and often humorous takes on X, and consistent advocacy for the chain; also credited with mobilizing validators during critical governance moments. While primarily focused on building practical products rather than hype, some note inconsistent communication and find his Solana maximalism and privacy coin advocacy polarizing.
What people say
Received · 328Given · 0“A Consistent and Directional Sound”Mert is one of the names that always comes up when people talk about Solana from a technical perspective. The way he conveys his views is clear and insightful, not just superficial noise. Many consider him to be someone who truly understands what is being built, especially when it comes to infrastructure. Some say he is overly biased toward Solana, but that’s precisely what makes his narrative feel honest and consistent. He’s not just following trends; he has genuine conviction and a strong foundation of thought. People follow him not for the sensationalism, but for the clarity of direction and logic he brings.

帅猴 · 1261· 1y ago2“A Titan of Solana Advocacy and Web3 Innovation!”This is a powerhouse in the Web3 and crypto space, serving as a vital resource for anyone invested in the Solana ecosystem, blockchain development, or the broader decentralized future. As the Co-founder and CEO of Helius, a leading developer platform for Solana, Mert combines deep technical expertise with an unapologetic, witty presence, making his profile a must-follow for developers, investors, and crypto enthusiasts alike. What sets @mert_helius apart is Mert’s unique ability to demystify Solana’s complex architecture while fiercely defending its potential against misinformation. His posts are a masterclass in blending technical precision with engaging, often humorous commentary, such as his bold challenge to Edward Snowden for a live debate on Solana’s decentralization (October 2024) or his candid critique of Solana’s block explorer issues, calling out “unreadable explorers” and “inconsistent stats” to push for better tooling []. Mert’s self-proclaimed role as a “reply guy” correcting falsehoods about Solana—while also admitting to “FUD-ing Solana the most” to keep it honest—has earned him top-tier status as crypto’s leading key opinion leader, outranking figures like Vitalik Buterin in recent X influence metrics [].

InFamous (Ø,G) · 1252· 1y ago4“Solana’s Sharpest Voice”Mert isn’t just talking Solana ,he lives it. Whether it’s technical deep dives or spicy takes, he always brings insight with substance. You can tell he actually builds, not just tweets. Even if you don’t always agree with him, he makes you think and in a space full of noise, that’s rare. He’s one of the few voices that genuinely move the conversation forward.

Byte Beard · 1225· 1y ago4“A Bold, Contrarian Voice in Web3 Leadership”Mert (@0xMert_) is the founder of Helius Labs and former Coinbase strategist, providing foundational tools for the Solana ecosystem. He reinforces the importance of seeing beyond consensus noise—emphasizing that real opportunities shine in the margins, not the mainstream. With a laser focus on incentive misalignments and structural blockers, he urges the industry toward substance over surface-level hype. His technical ambition—like optimizing transaction pipelines and blockchain consensus—underscores a long-term view rarely seen in crypto commentary. While his insights deeply influence builders and core contributors, his contrarian, pragmatic style remains underappreciated by broader audiences. For these reasons, I consider him genuinely underrated.

Ashstroke · 1241· 1y ago1“A Crypto Gem Worth Following”CEO of Helius Labs, Mert brings a sharp, witty take on the Solana ecosystem and Web3 at large. His posts are a goldmine of insights—whether he’s hyping Solana’s DePIN projects, memecoins, or low-fee, high-throughput advantages, you can tell he knows his stuff. I loved his candid post about quitting caffeine with zero benefits—felt so real and relatable! Mert’s mix of humor, like poking fun at ETH maxis, and deep industry knowledge makes his feed both fun and informative. He’s not afraid to call out nonsense, but it’s always backed by solid reasoning. If you’re into crypto, especially Solana, following Mert is a no-brainer—he’s like your cool, brainy friend who keeps you in the loop.
