Sending automated DM with slop describing how they "dig what you're building" (not building anything atm LOL) and trying to solicit meetings / TG chats.

He was on a major anti privacy crusade. He shittalked Tornado Cash and Roman for weeks, got memed by the Milady community - and used his two seconds of engagement to launch and/or promote multiple shitcoins back to back. First coin was "Dave", and he spammed the ticker 200+ times (!!!) under every tweet that was vaguely related to him. In like an hour after launch. You can see how much he spammed his grift under this twitter search URL: https://x.com/search?q=from%3Adavecraige%20buy%20%24dave&src=typed_query&f=live Same with all the other coins... He even made/promoted a coin in Romans name... after shittalking him and TC for weeks... He threatened to sue someone because they registered the davecraige.eth ENS name and donated to Roman Storms legal defense fund with that ENS as the resolver 💀 https://x.com/davecraige/status/1952915550637834550 He was scamming DOCTORS and NURSES during COVID and trying to profit from masks. People even made dedicated accounts exposing him, as well as set up web pages about it. Yup, it got that bad! The webpage is currently inactive... but it's archived :)) https://web.archive.org/web/20240828121727/https://davecraige.online/ You can also find tweets related to his medical scams scattered around twitter: "He has consistently harassed essential wrkrs during this pandemic in order to hijack the supply of PPE & promote himself. He's literally a moral black hole." https://x.com/dopeconfections/status/1269702881302601729 "He stole a nurse's info & started a competing GoFundMe disguised as her. Dave Craige owes money to PPE volunteers and plays games to avoid paying. He has been harassing RNs." https://x.com/davecraigeonli1/status/1261197114941378566 "Dave Craige owes money to volunteers all over town from the Help Hospitals scam and other cons." https://x.com/davecraigeonli1/status/1306930186894454784 There's way more to it, but I think the above already paints a picture on who Dave Craige really is - a really awful human being. If you use twitter search and scroll far back you will discover more and more awful things about this guy. But be careful, scrolling his feed will make you lose some braincells... So yeah, Dave is a really awful human being and a long time scammer - not only in crypto. He grifts and scams in any way he can. Also has a clearly botted twitter following, 17.6k followers and not even getting 1 like on 99.9% of his posts. The fake following is to seem slightly more notable - so any time someone gives him a bit of relevance he can use it to grift people. AVOID AT ALL COST!

on FUJIMOTOSAN · 1231· 1y ago7“not a fan of Leon/Unfungible and the cold DMs sent by his team members”I don't know much about Leon, other than the fact that multiple people from his team (Unfungible) sent me awful automated cold outreach DMs in the past. Which is kinda funny considering Leon tweeted a lot about "how not to do cold outreach". Like here: https://x.com/leonabboud/status/1998766165922033872 Still, I've received (automated and highly unfitting) cold outreach messages from 2-3 people at Unfungible. Apparently they didn't bother to read his "how not to do cold outreach" tweets 😹 "We like what your team is building." "Would you be interested in podcasts / spaces?" What team? There is no team. I'm not building anything... "Unfungible is a leading Web3 marketing agency. We specialise in organic community acquisition strategies that convert into revenue." lol, lmao even. The worst part is that I'm actually good friends with someone at Unfungible, so the cold outreach attempts by other team members are one of the worst things they could possibly do. Why would you send cold outreach DMs to someone who is already mutuals with a person on your team? Why wouldn't you ask your team member about the person or what they're doing - or just delegate the outreach to your team member who is already mutuals with the person you wanted to cold DM? If you see someone being mutuals with one of your team members, then sending that person automated cold outreach DMs is one of the dumbest things you could do. Especially when the DMs are as unfitting as the DMs I've received. 1) Your team member is already a mutual and has an "in" with the person you're trying to reach. They have a better and personal standing with that person. Your cold DM approach has a 0% success chance. Especially when you don't even know anything about the person you're trying to reach. (WHAT TEAM AM I PART OF?!) People who work at the self proclaimed "leading web3 marketing agency" can't even bother to ask their team member about the person they're trying to reach? Have they learned nothing from Leon's "how not to do cold outreach" tweets? LOL 2) Should your team member already be in talks with the person you just cold DM'd, then your stupidly unfitting cold outreach attempt would make your whole team look unprofessional and uncoordinated. Should your team member already discuss potential collaboration with that person, those cold DMs would basically end any potential collaboration the second the cold DM is sent. So yeah, definitely not a fan of the Unfungible approach.

They started developing the Namechain (which was later abandoned) because the $5 median price for gas "wasn't affordable" a year ago - and that warranted building a whole new chain to make it more affordable. But then the gas prices on mainnet dropped and they decided that the "(((ETHEREUM))) Name Service" shall remain on Ethereum. The issue is that they apparently burned so much money on the Namechain fiasco that they're now doing a +$7 raise on 5L extensions. That's a 140% increase from the current $5 extension cost for 5L names. But you know, affordability was an issue of the past - now it's okay because the +$7 is going into their pockets instead of being spent on gas. They're also planning incentives for long term extensions, aka 50% discount on 10 year extensions. The reason for that is getting users to pay more money upfront, instead of having it trickle down over time. (More than half - 52.5% - of wallet addresses with 5-9 names register for less than a year.) The whole “temp check proposal", which is basically an announcement, screams of greed. Not only the price raise itself, but also the discount mechanism incentivizing multi-year payments upfront. $5 in gas costs led to them trying to build a whole L2 so that ENS could be more affordable. But the $7 extra (+140%) in extension costs going into ENS pockets is suddenly okay 😹 I guess Namechain ate up a large chunk of funds, so now they have to get greedy with a 140% price bump on 5L names. lol, lmao even The worst part is that they continue to price out people from developing countries. The handful of people in developing countries who actually use ENS will drop it after a 140% hike. Domain whales and squatters will also slim down the names they keep extending. Aka ENS will get less money. Maybe the math works out, losing X% users and X% of domain extensions is compensated by the 140% price hike 😹 But it’s extremely shortsighted, and let’s be honest, motivated by greed. And hilariously enough, it was most likely caused because they tried to build an L2 - because +$5 in gas wasn't affordable. But you know, +$7 is fine as long as it goes into their pockets 😹 Gotta offset the namechain money burn somehow.

Fun fact: the "bug" or rather a deliberate "feature" was added by the Coinkite CTO and Co-Founder (DocHex) larping as a different user...
