Thereafter they released an barrage of further projects and got purchased by Nike for allegedly >USD 1b in December 2021. However, since the purchase, Nike lacked direction and progress stalled. Therefore Nike decided to wind down operations of RTFKT in January 2025, leaving all the investors in the NFT projects holding worthless bags.

Additionaly, he is a very loud and opinionated voice in the space. Despite the fact that I do not always agree with his takes, and that he obviously "shills his bags", his opinions and articles are thought-provoking and sincere. Framed positively: he puts his money where his mouth is. Multicoion Capital and Kyle Samani got famous for investing in Solana's Seed round in 2018, and roundtripped most of the gains during the FTX crash. Thus, I regard Kyle Samani and Multicoin capital as investors that are in crypto for the long-term and without a doubt push the space forward.

Highly reputable and ethical VC that wants the space to suceed long-term, and thus doesn't rely on unethical practices such as high fdv low float financial engineering to generate positive returns.

TGE isn't the end, but its the start. Just to list some of the negatives: Low float/high FDV tokenomics resulting in a down only chart, disrespectful of community (historic "e-beggar" comments), all while being a ghostchain that never gained traction besides the users that were there for the airdrop

Despite being very early to the space, he never got involved with shady activity and only advocated for his pure ideals. One of the very few people in the space, I would vouch for without hesitation. On his background: Eris is the founder of ShapeShift, a crypto app that has a very special place in my heart since I got onboarded to swap crypto on it in 2017. Additionally, he is a well-spoken libertarian. His podcast appearance on Bankless in which he debated SBF at the end of September 2022, right before FTX collapsed, turned into part of the crypto-lore. Nowadays, he is the founder of Venice, a protocol that preserves the user's privacy whilst using AI models.

Amongst others, they incubated Pump.fun, Rain, Pocket Universe, Fantasy.top and many more crypto projects. The sheer number and variety of projects is nothing but impressive. Both founders of the Alliance, Imran and Qiao, run "The Good Game" podcast and are both highly trustworthy and want to foster crypto innovation. You can also find out for yourself on the AllianceDao Youtube channel, where they documented multiple cohorts.

The founders decided, without consent from the community, to turn Moonbirds into a CC0 license, and thus made them explicitly lose all their rights. To allow Kevin Rose and Ryan Carson an exit and last paycheck, Moonbirds were sold to Yuga Labs, which however didn't develop the project further. In 2025 the IP of Moonbirds was sold to Orange Cap Games. I wish them and Moonbirds holders the best, but to me personally Moonbirds are torched earth.

Namely, Ethena's USDe is a synthetic stablecoin which longs the underlying and shorts a perp at the same time to generate yield. It also invented the concept of CeDeFi. Ethena is battletested since it never faced difficulties facing redemptions. Additionally, Ethena's story just started and is aiming to disrupt further aspects of the financial industry. Ethena's story is about to continue with the launch of their own Arbitrum Orbitchain Converge later this year. The only negative aspect about Ethena are the low float high FDV tokenomics of $ENA. However, they started the treasury company StablecoinX, which actively buys ENA and therefore alleviate the concern.

Avi is a crypto native that is rather a technical and flow trader. Jonah was a commodity trader (oil) and thus also brings the TradFi perspective. Their talks often include actionable trading ideas for listeners, which is also quite unique in the podcast space. Thus, the podcast is a breath of fresh air and highly recommended for discretionary traders. Only critique is that Jonah sometimes only does highly superficial research and crowdsources the more technical functioning of protocols.
