“They died before they were born”I'll start with what I learned about Towns at the very beginning, before points and other features. Back then, it was a regular messenger app like Discord and was no different from similar apps, except that you could only write messages and video calls were not available. I created my first server and talked about it in our Telegram channel about crypto, and many people joined, about 100 users in the first 2 or 3 days, I don't remember exactly. After that, there was a period of silence, and no updates about the project. Some time passed, and the project returned. Towards the end of winter, they launched the Towns Points Program, where they gave points for joining (now they became paid), gave a lot of points, and I started working. I posted about them every day, every update and news about them, I even wrote a separate, detailed guide about their app with pictures and my personal review, and this guide took off, gaining over 5,000 views in a week, it was the most popular guide in the CIS at that time. Time passed, and points were added for swaps, trading within the app, and daily beavers that needed to be petted. My server and other neighboring servers, which are also mine, gathered more than 1,500 users, for which I received about 2.9 million points, honestly earned, as I posted more than 114 posts about this project in the channel. In the end, I will move on to the drop right away. First and foremost, they changed the tokenomics several times before the drop itself, and not in favor of the users, but in favor of “their friends' wallets” and “connections,” allocating more to the Binance Alpha drop than to their active users, as well as watching various exposés about them on Twitter that same day, their active KOLs, who praised the project without mentioning its shortcomings. There were many exposés from various influencers that Towns had deceived people, but they all remained silent, the whole team pretended not to notice it and just hoped that everything would die down. For 2.9 million points, I received a drop of about 13,000 tokens, while influencers with fewer points received 10 times more, simply because they constantly sucked up to the team. As a result, as we can see, there are no assets in the project. There are almost no new channels or new unique users. The project will die, and the team didn't even give it a chance to get off the ground. They were ruined by money and the fact that they couldn't actually build anything. Judging by the project, regardless of the token and the distribution of $TOWNS, the following can be noted: One of the advantages is the idea of the project itself, but it should have been implemented by completely different people. The obvious cons: constant problems with loading and unloading messages, they constantly promised to fix it, but failed to do so for almost a year. Don't do what they did, think about the community.
