Monad is a high-performance EVM-compatible Layer 1 with impressive technical architecture—parallel execution, 10,000 TPS target, and low latency—that has attracted a passionate community and strong funding. However, the project is deeply polarized: supporters praise the tech, speed, and community bonds formed during testnet, while a substantial portion of the community feels betrayed by the airdrop distribution, which heavily favored influencers and external crypto participants over testnet users who spent months testing and providing feedback. The core tension centers on broken trust—many early supporters view the tokenomics as extractive and the community rewards as unfair, with testnet participants receiving minimal allocation despite their contributions, while others remain bullish on the technical foundation and long-term potential.

“Nothing interesting or unique”Monad feels same like other l2s no new develipment , nothing unique and also dont see much projects interested on developing on this chain. Tge is tomorrow lets see how this plays out and hope that they prove me wrong.

“VC Backed L1 that disappointed their core community”Monad raised 225M from VCs and is now trying to raise an additional 187.5M from retail, while rewarding their community with only 3.3% of the supply after putting pressure on them to grind in the discord and TG for 3 years. Their tokenomics is very predatory and extractive as well.

“Good chain but..”so far I like what i see about Monad, but they have to demostrate how well they can do the things. and I'll be there checking it out.

“They ignored testnet users”They completely ignored testnet users and rewarded big NFT holders instead. Feels like all that effort was for nothing. I think all thing about Monad was just a hype and they weren't fair at all. while the hype was created by Testnet users and they really tested the Monad but got noting.

“Monad rising fast”I’ve seen countless L1 come and go, but Monad stands out. It’s fast, feels smooth even in testnet, and the community around it actually cares. People argue about hype or VC backing, but the core tech speaks for itself.🎯 It’s not perfect yet, but definitely one of the few chains that feels like it’s building for the long game.

“Fast and user-oriented blockchain”With Monad you feel that blockchain can be fast, simple and hassle-free. Transactions are processed almost instantly and everything is compatible with the EVM, so whether you are a developer or a user, you will have a smooth and reliable experience. For me, seeing real projects focused on DeFi and dApps showed that this network is not just talking and really takes scalability and usability seriously.

“The perfect blend of love and technology”This project has absorbed the best that crypto has to offer. Developers who are truly committed to perfecting their creation - real tech minds and professionals who push themselves to the limit, working 23 hours a day. And an ideal community that’s both creative and genuinely supportive, giving back exactly what was planted - because the community is the heart of Monad

“Great Project”The Monad project means a lot to me. I’m a big fan of how the team moves, and the tech is seriously impressive. What really gets me though is how community-focused they are. I’ll always back anyone who puts the community first.
