“Unfair treatment of the community”Its really disappointing how they handled this situation. Many community members spent countless hours supporting the project testing features and providing feedback during the testnet phase. Instead of rewarding those who genuinely contributed they gave the airdrop to people who werent even involved in the testnet. This feels like a huge disrespect to those who believed in the project and helped it grow from the start.

“Mixed feelings”Monad gives me mixed feelings. There’s definitely been a strong cult-like following around them, and I’m sure the most loyal community members will be well rewarded for Discord and Twitter activity. But at the same time, the complete lack of rewards for testnet users is partly a death sentence for many L1 solutions. Let’s see how things unfold from here.

“Monad made this year fun for me”My journey began a long time ago back in 2023, but I became a real community member only in the beginning of 2025. Honestly thanks to fantasy top on monad, because it opened so many opportunities to get great WLs and connections. I love monad, I love nads, and really hope real community member will get rewarded greatly.

“Monad early stage gem with strong potential”I have been active in Monad testnet and the whole vibe feels promising. The team is building carefully and you can see the tech side is focused on real scaling. For now it’s still early but that’s the best time to be around, cause later everyone will call it obvious. I just hope the airdrop criteria will be fair and cut bots away cause real users deserve the value. Excited to keep following this journey.

Their promise of a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 with 10,000 TPS, one-second block times, and low fees sounds impressive, and so far, their execution on testnet reflects serious engineering capability. Monad stands out by pushing innovation without sacrificing decentralization, and its developer-friendly approach makes it even more appealing to builders in the ecosystem. That said, the current testnet is clearly being farmed hard, and that raises the question: who are the real users, and how will Monad ensure they’re recognized? “the future of the EVM, simple.”imo Monad has always been inevitable. Ethereum walked so Monad could fly. i also think Monad is what Ethereum would've been if Solana was built first. many can deny it as much as they want but we NEED this tech. James & Keone took on a very hard task of building up a highly performant decentralized EVM chain from scratch and though it took a lot of time, they did it. and with Eunice i am just so bullish on what Monad has to offer the blockchain industry and the actual "wider community" in general the message is pretty clear.. performance without compromising decentralization, something so many chains on the EVM claim to have built but have so far failed to prove. decentralization is not a meme. GMONAD
