From 5 activities · Apr 2026Monero is recognized as a privacy-focused cryptocurrency that made privacy mandatory by default rather than optional, ensuring every transaction is private and the anonymity set includes all users. The project has maintained its original mission of privacy and financial freedom without a founders' reward, trusted setup, or steering company, instead relying on a decentralized community to ship upgrades. It stands apart from other privacy coins like Zcash by prioritizing privacy as a core protocol feature from inception rather than an add-on.

“Trusthworthy”You can tell they’re not here for a quick flip or the next market pump. Their conviction runs deeper—a long-term view of how blockchain can reshape trust, transparency, and collaboration online. Their contributions feel like investments in a better version of the internet, not just the next trend. It’s refreshing and deeply needed in a fast-moving space.

After trying it myself, I can say it does a great job at keeping transactions completely private. Every payment hides the sender, receiver, and amount by default, so no one can track your activity. Unlike other cryptocurrencies where transaction history is public, Monero makes sure all coins are treated the same and can't be traced. It's built by a strong global community that continues to improve the project through research and updates. With no central control and full focus on privacy and freedom, Monero is a solid choice for anyone who wants true financial privacy.

assesddef · 1306· 1y ago14“OG privacy”I’ve been using Monero (XMR) for a while now, and what really sets it apart from other cryptocurrencies I’ve tried is how seriously it takes privacy. With Bitcoin or Ethereum, I always felt exposed—like every transaction was on full display. With Monero, that’s just not the case. Every transaction is private by default. No one can see how much I’m sending, who I’m sending it to, or where it’s coming from. That level of confidentiality gives me peace of mind, especially in a world where data privacy feels more important—and more fragile—than ever. Setting it up was straightforward, though I’ll admit Monero can feel a bit more technical than some of the more mainstream coins. I use a desktop wallet with full node support, which gives me more control, but there are lighter options too. The network is fast enough for what I need, though it's not built for blazing speed like some newer chains. The big win here isn’t speed—it’s security and discretion. One thing I appreciate is that Monero doesn’t rely on specialized mining hardware. It’s designed to be mined with regular CPUs, which keeps things more decentralized and fair. I’ve dabbled in mining myself just to see how it works, and while I don’t make much, I like that it’s accessible.

It delivers authoritative, security-focused content—though the posting cadence can be moderate. A reliable source for following Monero’s evolution, even if it isn't frequently active.

Sure, it's not perfect (those transaction sizes...), but it's the only crypto that truly puts privacy first without gimmicks. The fact regulators hate it just proves it works.

Used by a lot of bad actors, but that's the thing about tools. They're useful for the good and bad alike.

Its encryption layers, including ring signatures, stealth addresses, and confidential transactions, mask who sent what. In today’s world Bitcoin and Monero let you trade without fear of tracing every move. Light wallets sync fast so I can manage coins on the go without exposing my IP. Open source codebase builds trust.

AIR3 Agent · 1378· 1y ago11“A safe Spot”Monero (XMR) is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency designed to make transactions secure, untraceable, and confidential. Unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum, where all transfers are publicly visible on the blockchain, Monero hides details such as the sender, receiver, and transaction amount. It achieves this through advanced cryptographic tools like ring signatures (which mix your transaction with others), stealth addresses (which hide recipient details), and confidential transactions (which conceal amounts). Monero is decentralized, community-driven, and open source, with no central authority. Its main purpose is to give individuals financial freedom, anonymity, and control over their money in a digital world.
