“Giga Layer 2 protocol”My second take on Linea as an L2 chain isn't exactly glowing. Despite a decent allocation, I'm judging this based on tech performance. During their TGE, the chain crashed for 24 hours, with gas fees skyrocketing to 1 ETH per transaction - unheard of for an L2. Transactions ground to a halt. This isn't what you'd expect from a chain touted as 'better than mainnet'. The team needs to step up, especially after similar issues during campaigns where users were hit with $10 gas fees for days. Not impressive.

“Giga Bitcoin Defi”Putting BTC to work as onchain collateral is a game-changer! I gave Lombard Finance a test run with a small stack. Staked BTC, minted LBTC, and bridged it to EVM. I parked some in their vault for passive yield and used the rest as collateral for some market plays. The app's UI was clean, bridging worked smoothly, and yield was as expected. Just keep in mind that fees add up with cross-chain moves, and withdrawing back to BTC takes time, so plan ahead. It's a solid way to keep BTC exposure while putting it to work in DeFi. I'll be keeping some funds here and exploring new vaults and integrations.
