Founded by anonymous figures including digital artist Viii and collector CValley, the project garnered significant attention upon its announcement in late 2022. The initial plan was to release a collection of 10,000 NFTs at a mint price of 1 ETH each. However, facing community backlash over the high price point, the team reduced the supply to 5,555 NFTs and lowered the mint price to 0.65 ETH. Despite these adjustments, the project encountered challenges during its whitelist minting phase, leading to further reductions in supply and price. The public mint eventually sold out through a Dutch auction at a final price of 0.3 ETH per NFT. Throughout its journey, Ether faced criticism over its pricing strategy, communication practices, and overall transparency, serving as a cautionary tale for NFT projects navigating market dynamics and community expectations.

Tech can be improved”I’ve been using STEPN GO for a while now, and I have to say, it’s an exciting and innovative way to integrate fitness with blockchain technology. The concept of earning rewards while walking or running is something I never thought would be possible, but STEPN GO makes it a reality. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The initial setup can be a bit confusing for new users, especially when it comes to understanding the blockchain mechanics behind the rewards. Additionally, the app can occasionally be glitchy or slow when syncing data, which can be a bit frustrating at times.

He consistently downvotes negative Sybil reports and reviews exposing scammers or rug pulls instead of supporting efforts to protect the community. I’m not the only one who has noticed that, others in the Ethos community have experienced the same behavior. Out of genuine concern, I approached him directly on the Ethos Discord and asked for clear feedback on why he was doing this. Instead of addressing the question, he played dumb and gave responses that had nothing to do with what was being asked. From my perspective, his behavior suggests someone more interested in farming the protocol than contributing meaningful knowledge or engaging in honest discussions. Given that his score carries significant weight within the ecosystem, I believe it should be substantially lower and better reflect the quality of his contributions and conduct. The unwillingness to provide straightforward answers ultimately led me to leave this negative review.
