Everything was smooth during the testnet phase. They launched the main mint the day after Monad’s launch (mint price 2200–2800 MONAD). The supply was initially 6,969 but was later reduced to 5,432. During the mint, the team went quiet in the Discord, avoiding questions, and it became clear they planned to abandon the project which they eventually did. The floor price dropped to nearly zero within two days. What’s more concerning is that the mods are still operating the Discord to extract even more from the space.

I minted an OCM Katoshi Classic for 0.0042 BTC, and the price dropped sharply as soon as trading started. I expected it to stabilize or bounce back, but it never did after years. What made it worse was watching early OCM Genesis holders dump heavily on new community members, treating them like exit liquidity rather than long term supporters. The team raised roughly (0.0042 BTC × 12,500 supply of classic & prime), yet there was zero visible effort to support the floor price or stabilize the market. No buybacks, no meaningful intervention. If you spend time in the discord, you’ll also notice the same small group of around 10–12 people constantly circulating and pushing narratives around selling OCM assets. Overall, this has been one of the worst investment experiences I’ve had so far.
