Pudgy Penguins is a pioneering NFT collection that evolved into a global consumer brand, bridging Web3 and mainstream markets through physical toys in Walmart, strategic retail partnerships, and cultural collaborations. Known for strong branding, consistent execution, and a deeply loyal community, the project survived early leadership challenges and was revitalized under Luca Netz, who expanded it beyond digital art into merchandise, games, the $PENGU token, and the Abstract L2 blockchain. Praised for generous airdrops, authentic community-first values, and rare durability across market cycles, it stands as one of the most successful and recognizable IP projects in crypto.

“Big success story in Web3”Pudgy and its founder showed the whole Web3 how an NFT project is run and achieved massive success. All Pudgy holders who are loyal to the project, deserve the best. They believed in something and it paid off.Silentmode · 1362· 1y ago14

“Cutest PFPs in web3?”With Luka at the helm the Penguins are one of the few NFT projects to make it a full cycle and still be moving forward. Luka has done a fabulous job keeping the birds at the top of mindshare and trying to get them to break into mainstream consciousness. I wasn't a big fan of the Walmart plushies, but I understand the reason to do it, as it dominated the timeline for weeks. Now they are doing an L2 as a way to reward holders and bring funds to the team. Good strategy imo. Will the chain survive? Who knows, but again, you have to give credit to Luka for giving the Penguins the best chance for success.Adam McBride · 1453· 1y ago14
