From 366 activities · Apr 2026Pudgy Penguins is a pioneering NFT collection that evolved into a global consumer brand, bridging Web3 and mainstream markets through physical toys in Walmart, strategic retail partnerships, and cultural collaborations. Known for strong branding, consistent execution, and a deeply loyal community, the project survived early leadership challenges and was revitalized under Luca Netz, who expanded it beyond digital art into merchandise, games, the $PENGU token, and the Abstract L2 blockchain. Praised for generous airdrops, authentic community-first values, and rare durability across market cycles, it stands as one of the most successful and recognizable IP projects in crypto.

“turning cute penguins into serious brand power”hey pudgypenguins i’ve been watching you evolve from an nft pfp project into a full-on web3 brand and it’s impressive you’re not just about hype you’re making real moves – toys in stores, token launches, layer-2 infrastructure, the works seeing you step into culture, tech and community so fluidly is refreshing thanks for showing that web3 can grow up while still keeping good vibes

kavinraj · 1238· 1y ago · negative6““The Waddle to Web3 Mass Adoption: Pudgy Penguins Is More Than a Meme””@pudgypenguins has evolved from adorable JPEGs into a full-blown IP machine pushing the limits of what NFTs can be. This isn’t just another collectible project shouting "vibes" into the void this is brand execution with actual teeth. From licensing deals with Walmart to turning plushies into cultural bridges, Pudgy Penguins is building something most Web3 brands only dream of: relevance outside the echo chamber. Their tone on X balances charm, relatability, and business updates in a way that invites both crypto natives and curious outsiders. More importantly, they’re not waiting for "the bull" they’re shipping, storytelling, and selling IRL. Pudgy Penguins is proving that memes, when wielded with intent, can become moats. A masterclass in brand building from the timeline’s cutest empire.

Jus kidding · 1174· 1y ago4“Pudgy Penguins are actually winning the NFT game”Pudgy Penguins really nailed it. What started as just another cute NFT project has grown into one of the few in the space actually doing real things. The brand feels alive from physical toys in Walmart to licensing deals and social content that actually goes viral outside of crypto Twitter. You can tell they’re not just building for NFT people, they’re building for the internet. The team gets it too. They’re super in tune with the community and somehow always ahead of the curve. And let’s be honest: the art has aged well. The Penguins are iconic at this point. Feels rare to see a Web3 brand go this mainstream while still holding it down for the original holders. Pudgy’s not just surviving the bear — they’re expanding in it. Can’t fake that kind of momentum.
