Before, unless you had a full 32 ETH just lying around, you were basically locked out. By lowering that barrier, they opened the door for way more people to take part and that’s a big win both for accessibility and for the health of the network. That said, I think it’s fair to point out the downside too. Their dominance is starting to look a little too big, and in a space that prides itself on decentralization, that concentration of power feels risky. So yeah, I see them as a pioneer and a net positive overall, but I also think the ecosystem should stay mindful of how much weight they’re carrying.
