A 12-year product leader with experience at Atlassian, HouseCallPro, and as an early hire at Message.io (YC W16), he brings deep expertise in product, security, identity verification, and fraud prevention. Known for hands-on community engagement, transparent communication, and uncompromising commitment to building trust through economic incentives and measurable reputation—he actively vouches for credible users, slashes bad actors with evidence, and iterates on Ethos mechanics based on real user behavior. Consistently praised for his work ethic, accessibility despite being CEO, and vision of making crypto more human-centered and trustworthy.

He has developed an excellent and transparent tool that has the potential to address real problems in the Web2 social landscape. I believe it took genuine courage to build a system like Ethos. I would like to acknowledge and commend that courage.

Serpin is one of them. I like the idea behind the project, even though some of the team's actions caused some confusion. Special respect for his vibecoding.

Thanks to his idea I can look at anybody's score and almost for 100% figure out is this member good or no. I wish you'll fix every way that people will be able to farm their scores and ethos will become a big part of future web3

Antan · 1314· 11mo ago38“Great Builder”Really love what Serpin has built and think it is exactly what we need for CT to detect the larps and the scammers and to put a value on social equity. Serp is in a few of my private groups as well and is very well spoken and seems to have a good sense of ethics. He is a positive in our space and glad to cross paths with him.

Viperr · 1907· 12mo ago38“HIM”Serpin really is HIM. While fads and countless narratives have spun up over the years for socialfi he has been heads down building the final product. More than just socialfi, its ethos. Serpin has been nothing but understanding when I have come to him over the years with feedback or ideas. Exactly what one wants to see in a founder and a builder. Looking forward to the next phases of Ethos

WIZ · 1783· 12mo ago38“Mega Genious”I really like the idea of Ethos and how it’s evolving day by day, but even better is that this project truly has a future and real-world utility. Many alpha projects are already including Ethos participants in their whitelists and giving them rewards and privileges in presales, mints, and so on. So Ethos is growing, and I’m glad to be a part of this project

yyctradΞr · 1712· 12mo ago38“Great founder of industry shifting tech”I have pushing transaction onchain since 2021 and consequently have encountered many founders across several niches within crypto. So I can truly tell when a founder is here for change vs short-term profits. I enjoy all forms of content that he shares from vibe code sessions to market takes. Without going full glaze, I think our space would benefit immensely from more people like Serpin. Keep building and I am excited for the future of Ethos.

Grimjow · 1355· 1y ago38“trying his best to make ethos work”He is ethos CEO and is doing a lot to make ethos work the way it is supposed to. I can't say that I totally agree with all his decisions (like stopping gas sponsorship for 1300- users, making 1400- votes mean nothing and so on) - this can lead to making ethos something like an elite club, where only big infls are welcomed and anyone else should just leave. I'm worried that this direction will lead to those infls upvoting each other because of the fear of slashing by same infls - such closed system won't be fair as intended. Maybe for now these changes are okay to fight bots but he should definitely think how to include small accounts in the whole process and not just ignore them
