From 721 activities · Mar 2026Serpin is the founder and CEO of Ethos Network, a reputation and accountability platform built on-chain to combat sybils, scammers, and bad actors in crypto. A 12-year product leader with experience at Atlassian, HouseCallPro, and as an early hire at Message.io (YC W16), he brings deep expertise in product, security, identity verification, and fraud prevention. Known for hands-on community engagement, transparent communication, and uncompromising commitment to building trust through economic incentives and measurable reputation—he actively vouches for credible users, slashes bad actors with evidence, and iterates on Ethos mechanics based on real user behavior. Consistently praised for his work ethic, accessibility despite being CEO, and vision of making crypto more human-centered and trustworthy.

He was trustworthy back then :) I've seen his name plenty on sites like deBank where his old bera pfp was plastered all over it Nice to see him with a hyperliquid cat PFP and already in the Ethos validator community

He's been very good at providing a more wholistic view of crypto, not just focused on whatever CT is stuck on. He likes to share trades and thesis and I generally find those to be very accurate. He was bullposting hype very early on (march-may 2024) and it had a direct positive impact on my outlook of hype, leading to some sweet sweet gainz. He also helped introduce us to our current legal counsel and is a very nice guy to talk to in dms.

I reached out privately to correct these lies and point out they were untrue. After attempting to contact him several times - including publicly- he never responded. Murdoch obviously dislikes me, which is perfectly fine to have that opinion. But when you spread lies and don’t even give me a chance to correct it? what are we even doing man

I was particularly interested in the chat + help desk experience and met Fletcher through his company Halp, which we later acquired .. because him and his team built such an awesome product. Since then I've known Fletcher very well - he's invested in things I've built, I've invested in things he's built. He was able to rocket his career at Atlassian to becoming a head of product after acquisition, and is now onto building his own thing again with Type. Well worth a follow on X , connecting with him, working with him, whatever.

Personally I think that if you are directly trying to get around how Ethos' scoring system works through reviewing in triangles to prevent the limitation of R4R, you are abusing the system.

on penguitt 🐧 · 1470· 1y ago73“Mixed feelings”I invested in blur originally. They absolutely crushed blur in terms of building a better NFT trading tool, rewarding people who were providing liquidity, and establishing the points program Blast was a rushed mess, and it completely distracted the team from blur and taking the opportunity on things like ordinals or runes, which they lost to magic Eden. As a blur investor I also would have expected to get exposure to or the same investment offering as on Blast, especially considering he was operating both companies at the same time. It’s always smart to take care of the people who supported you early and I will always feel a bit slighted about not getting an opp to invest in blast. Blast has very cool mechanics like native yield and gas refund that could have worked well but feels like he lost both fronts and won’t recover on either.
