Admittedly, I was a tad skeptical of ethos in the beginning but Serp won me over through his relentless focus on product and comms. Love the product and while it has its issues, its definitely a net positive for the space.

He seems very aware of the problems with Ethos, the potential for circle jerks and manipulation. I think Ethos will only improve under Serpin's direction. He has a great vision and seems competent in carrying out that vision. I can tell he is always striving to improve Ethos. I am very jealous of his name. I'm a huge fan of the Mars Volta and especially Deloused in the Comatoriom. Knew he was a cool guy just based on this.

MCG · 1463· 8mo ago82“I like what this guy is doing”Those who know me well understand how much I sometimes can't stand various project founders and teams, and how often their actions fall under my criticism. But today I can say that Serpin is one of the very few people in this category whom I rate 5 stars as a startup leader, founder, and builder. This is the case where I agree with almost everything that is being done. You can feel a competent, unhurried approach, caution, an understanding of the market, and a great desire to figure out how to properly adapt the product with maximum compliance in all key aspects. He loves his project and its idea, and this fuels him with inexhaustible energy. If there were more people like him in crypto, we could build an almost perfect Web3. What especially impresses me is the competent and cautious approach to building the economy around XP. This is rare; I don't think I've ever encountered such a tactic and attention to this issue before. A special project, and I'm glad to be a part of it.

We used to talk during FT Spaces about how time would reveal who truly stands by their words once the noise fades—and it did. It’s no surprise to see him build ETHOS. This space has long needed something grounded in reputation and integrity.
