Simon Dedic is the founder and managing partner of Moonrock Capital, a venture firm backing early-stage Web3 projects across DeFi, DePIN, and emerging sectors like DeSci and robotics. Known for sharp, data-driven market analysis and direct commentary on X, he's respected for cutting through hype and focusing on real adoption and sustainable business models rather than narratives. While widely praised for clarity, conviction, and genuine engagement with builders, some critics point to Moonrock's -90% retail ROI across 76 investments and question whether his public commentary aligns with fund performance—particularly his emphasis on airdrops as a problem when his own portfolio lacks meaningful airdrops.
