ZachXBT is a widely respected independent on-chain investigator who exposes crypto scams, rug pulls, hacks, and stolen funds through meticulous blockchain forensics and detailed evidence-based research. Known for tracing wallets, identifying bad actors, and helping victims recover assets, they have built a reputation for rigorous, fact-driven work that prioritizes transparency and community protection over hype or popularity. While nearly universally praised for integrity and impact, one review raises concerns about selective justice and unequal scrutiny of powerful versus smaller players.

“Zach has done more to call out crypto scammers than anyone in this industry (and it's not even close)”I've had the pleasure of speaking to ZachXBT while writing or editing some articles at The Block. They're a real one — but that goes without saying. Nobody has done more to call out the bad in this industry, and it's not even close.

“Top Crypto Sleuth”Zach has made a name in tracking down bad actors in the crypto space. From the Bybit hack incident to several other exploits, Zach has been able to identify and help law enforcement agencies to track bad actors like the Lazarus Group and several others. The fact he does it all for free makes his submissions often objective and focused on truth-finding.

“Columbo Web 3.0”A must for investigation and research on Web 3.0. A beacon in the ocean of cryptocurrencies. Zaci is an absolute "chad", brilliant and ruthless. A mix of detective and investigative journalist. You know the words scam, rug, slow rug, drain ? He detected and solved a lot of rug cases. Zach brings considerable added value to this space by tracking down and exposing bad actors, scammers, grifters. His work is thorough, meticulous, precise, even surgical. We need people like Zach, who make the web 3.0 a better place, but unfortunately there aren't that many of them. I couldn't list all the cases he has detected, but it's pretty impressive. Thank you for your work.

“The Hero We Needed, Not Who We Deserved”This industry can get exhausting but seeing Zach XBTs consistency and relentless diligence always inspires me. He would make more money if he shilled coins, did partnerships, started a firm... but he truly embodies crypto values and uses the ledger as a lethal weapon to help people recover funds and understand the dark parts of this industry.
