β€œFrom Community-First to Corporate.”How Owlto Finance Betrayed Its Early Supporters. I’ve been using Owlto Finance for a long time. I was there before the hype, before the big numbers, and definitely before the Binance integration. Like many of you, I was an "OG." I used the bridge faithfully, participated in the campaigns, and genuinely believed in the project's vision of seamless interoperability. I recommended it to friends and defended it when transactions were slow or fees were high because I thought, "This team cares. They are building something for us." But recent events have left a bitter taste in my mouth that no amount of smooth UI can wash away. The hard truth is this: Owlto Finance has forgotten where they came from. The recent pivot to prioritize Binance users over their loyal, early community is not just a strategic error; it feels like a personal slap in the face to everyone who helped them get to where they are today. We, the early community, were the stepping stones. We provided the initial volume, the stress-testing, and the organic marketing. We grinded through the points systems and the "check-ins" with the implicit understanding that loyalty would be rewarded. Instead, we watched from the sidelines as the red carpet was rolled out exclusively for new liquidity coming from Binance. It is incredibly disheartening to see a project completely devalue the contributions of its core user base the moment a centralized exchange flashes some cash. The incentives, the attention, and the rewards seem to be heavily skewed toward these new corporate partnerships, while the early supportersβ€”the ones who actually care about the tech and the ecosystemβ€”are left with crumbs, or worse, nothing at all. It sends a very clear message: "We don't need you anymore." If you are a new user coming from Binance, sure, the platform works. But you should be warned. If they can turn their backs on the people who built them up from zero so easily, what makes you think they won't turn their backs on you when the next big partnership comes along? Great technology means nothing without integrity. Owlto Finance might have gained some volume from Binance, but they have lost the heart and soul of their community. I used to bridge with Owlto daily; now, I’m looking for alternatives that actually respect the people who support them. Pros: Fast bridging speed. Good UI/UX. Cons: Zero respect for early adopters/OG community. Blatant favoritism towards Binance users. Feels like a "cash grab" rather than a community project. Broken trust. Verdict: Proceed with caution. Use it for the utility if you must, but don't expect loyalty, and definitely don't expect them to value your support. They have made their choice, and it wasn't us.on Owlto Finance(πŸ¦‰πŸ’›πŸ¦‰) Β· 508Β· 9mo ago Β· negative1
