“🔴 WARNING: Fake Job Offer Attempt via Impersonation of @Contango_xyz”I recently encountered a user on Twitter who approached me under the pretense of working with @Contango_xyz — a legitimate DeFi project. They offered what appeared to be a professional opportunity: managing content for the project’s X (Twitter) account, complete with a weekly schedule and visuals to support their claims. However, after verifying with the official Contango team, it became clear that this person has no connection to the project. 🚫 This is a blatant impersonation attempt designed to exploit creators in the Web3 space by abusing trust and reputation. 🔎 Key Red Flags I noticed: • Eager offer without prior context or vetting • Refusal to continue conversation when asked to verify via official Contango account • Ignored messages once exposed • @Contango_xyz officially confirmed: “This person is not part of our team.” ❗DO NOT trust any “opportunity” without direct confirmation from official sources. This user is not only misleading, but potentially harmful to the Web3 ecosystem. Stay alert. Don’t fall for well-crafted scams in this space. “Fake Job Offer”Pretending to be an official member of Contango. Contango account official stated that there are no recruiting plans and if yes, its only from their inside circle https://x.com/Contango_xyz/status/1965792444181868790solFoxy · 1510· 1y ago · negative9
