Received · 2Given · 0“Incompetent Community Manager”At the time of writing this review, this individual was serving as the community manager for the [MagicBlock](https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/magicblock) project. During her interactions with the community, she received criticism that arose solely from her incompetence. In the process of managing and assigning roles among members, mistakes were made on her part. - Although minor, these mistakes drew criticism both toward her personally and toward the project. Ambassadors who possessed significant reputation and had made a positive contribution to the project's social image were demoted in the role hierarchy without explanation, apparently based on her [personal whim](https://x.com/m4lkxx/status/2032501937141121391). - Subsequently, criticism was directed at the project, which runs counter to the goal of building reputational trust and can be regarded as damaging. As an outside observer, I noticed her marked absence from the Discord server (where community management actually takes place). - This manifested as a lack of personal communication with participants. The main form of communication consisted of rare calls, presumably just to maintain her own KPIs. During these same calls, according to information accessible to many community members, she allegedly urged participants to "direct project-related discussions into the general chat, rather than into regional channels." - This can be seen as manipulation and falsification of metrics. She was unable to organize this naturally and allowed personal motives to become apparent. The motive was likely to give significance to her own role and keep her personal KPIs from dropping. There was also passive behavior, which manifested in identifying active community members and failing to understand the current situation on the server. - I can only explain this by a lack of genuine personal interest. Potential bullying through deliberate ignorance based on gender and nationality: Based on my observations (which lasted 2 to 3 months), women from the CIS region, despite their significant contributions, received no recognition in the hierarchical role system. - The targets of potential bullying were 3 to 4 women with high engagement, measured by various metrics such as thousands of messages on the server or creating handmade artwork amounting to hundreds of hours of other people's time. All of them were overlooked during the batch role assignments that were organized once a week. - Other (male) participants received roles even with minimal contribution. The community manager herself is a woman. Her incompetence also showed in her inability to distinguish quality content produced by engaged community members from low-quality, entirely AI-generated content. - This led to complaints from observant community members, which can also be regarded as criticism of her competence. In response to criticism of AI-generated content, the team took measures by creating rules on "how to" create content properly. This was a template version that required further refinement. - One month later, the template version remained unfinished. The current state of the community on the Discord server thanks to Viv is as follows: some praise her because they received a role; some remain silent and do not criticize because they fear losing their role before the airdrop; and a third group is afraid to voice their opinion in the hope of still getting a role. Everything written above is my personal opinion based on information I obtained through personal observations, research, and feedback from community members. - It is regardless of whether I have or expect any roles or future rewards. Additionally: if you have a project in the Solana ecosystem, and if a VC founder (who happens to be female) recommends a person named Viv for the position of intern or community manager, and if you have read this review, think twice.

ZET · 1537· 6mo ago · negative14“The best community manager”Viv is community manager in MagicBlock and I love the vibe she brings to our community, everyday except weekends she joins community call and speak with her community. Thanks to her you don't feel any difference between team and community. She has such a great sense of humor
