Criticized for supporting a controversial treasury control grab at the ENS DAO while holding a foundation seat, with concerns that this mirrors similar governance tensions at Aragon, where they serve as CEO.

“Trying to pull Aragon v2 with ENS DAO”Leuts has been a vocal supporter of Nick yoinking the ~$500M ENS DAO treasury for the foundation... which Leuts also has a seat on 💀 And if you know Aragon (Leuts is the CEO), that's basically just him trying to do Aragon v2. The controversial treasury control grab and user bans in May 2023 weren't done under Leuts leadership - he became a CEO later on. But it seems the Aragon situation planted an idea in his head. One that he and Nick are currently trying to repeat with the ENS DAO. Nick's review might be worth a read: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/710295/the-rot-that-destroyed-ens Leuts is not to be trusted. He is actively on the side pushing the Foundation takeover, because he has a seat there. He is basically just doing Aragon v2. The conversation between Lefteris and Leuts is worth a read: https://x.com/LefterisJP/status/2069126550314701172 https://x.com/A_Leutenegger/status/2069127398612729909 https://x.com/LefterisJP/status/2069128841293955185 https://x.com/A_Leutenegger/status/2069130073651741003 https://x.com/LefterisJP/status/2069150495969853644 https://x.com/A_Leutenegger/status/2069154819877560655 https://x.com/martin__a__s/status/2069312829350424979 https://x.com/stableshaman/status/2069193447282823621 As you can see, Leuts was trying to muddy the waters around the whole situation. He is on the board of the foundation and a very vocal supporter of Nick trying to steal the ~$500M from the DAO for the foundation. He was also trying to move the conversation back to the ENS forums. Many people have stated they wouldn't know about the situation if it wasn't discussed on the twitter timeline. Imho. Leuts is not to be trusted. Having a seat on the foundation and then supporting the DAO treasury yoink that gives the foundation you're on access to ~$500M... doesn't really have good optics. Especially when you consider how the treasury yoink is playing out.
