“Abstract Chain Is What Consumer Crypto Should Look Like”I have enough experience in cryptocurrency to differentiate between actual projects that are solving real problems and those that are not solving a real problem and Abstract Chain is one of those rarities I’ve found. The first thing that stood out was the way they approach the onboarding of their users. Most of the L2 protocols out there still seem geared towards developers and not actual users. Abstract Chain flips that on its head. With Abstract Global Wallet, users can engage with dApps in a few clicks (without extension, without gas fee headaches, or prompts/signatures every 5 seconds); it feels more like an app vs blockchain. The team behind the project also shows a lot of credibility; Igloo Inc. has demonstrated an understanding of consumer culture with Pudgy Penguins, one of the few NFT projects to create true IP value beyond just crypto Twitter (they are now doing that same thing with Abstract). Their focus on gaming, social, and entertainment for initial mainstream adoption makes sense from a strategic perspective. Finally, I like the way they’ve built an XP system where rather than giving users tokens for nothing, they actually reward users based on engagement through usage of their applications, creating content, or being part of their ecosystem; this creates a positive feedback loop to keep people engaged in the community and not just to make a profit. It isn't perfect for sure. The launch of the mainnet has had some bumps in it and the ecosystem is still maturing. Nonetheless, the team has been open with this fact and has consistently shipped updates on their progress as well as taking community feedback seriously to remain accountable to collective contributors worldwide; something that is not common from other projects. As a whole, Abstract Chain is continually developing in a very positive way; if they continue to deliver against their roadmap then they could potentially bring new users into the blockchain-based world, not just simply due to hype, but rather due to having developed an actual usable product.on Abstract · 1815· 5mo ago0
