A few weeks later I ended up in a late-night call where half the people already had apes and were joking about yacht parties like it was real. Thats when it clicked for me BAYC wasnt just about NFTs, it was about belonging to something. Over time the community proved it, from crazy Twitter spaces to actual events where the vibes felt closer to a festival than a crypto meetup. Love it or hate it, BAYC set the tone for how culture and crypto can collide

Not necessarily a bad one, just... lost. It's a legendary IP tied to a chain that feels dead, lacking creativity. I’m not fully up to date on everything happening, but when you look at ApeChain NFTs, it feels like the same narrative over and over again. Despite their heavy funding, they need to support builders and give people a real reason to come and build on the chain.
