Received Β· 286Given Β· 0ββAn influential and innovative icon in the NFT worldβββAs one of the first and most well-known NFT projects, Bored Ape Yacht Club holds a special place in the history of the space. The collection broke new ground in the NFT world and helped shape the culture and community of the crypto space. Despite price fluctuations and changes in activities and spin-offs, the collectionβs experience and presence are still significant for NFT followers, and studying its trends can provide valuable lessons and insights into the evolution of the market and community behavior.β

At first, BAYC generated huge hype and built a massive community, but now it feels like much of that initial excitement has faded. Events like ApeFest or access to the private Discord seem more like ways to justify the sky-high costs than true benefits. The Otherside metaverse is still unfinished and comes across as more of an empty promise. In my view, by 2025 BAYC has lost its former relevance, while newer projects like Bitcoin Ordinals have become more appealing.

βThe OGβThey've had fumbles but their membership is best in class and their team will keep building and won't give up. Hopefully we see a resurgence.

The one that made NFTs feel cool, exclusive, and culture defining. It set the standard for community-driven hype and made everyone want to be part of the club. But somewhere along the way, it started to feel like they were trying to do everything at once. Too many spin offs, too many drops, and the original magic got a little diluted. Itβs still a heavyweight in the space, no doubt, but maybe it wouldβve been better if they kept it a bit tighter.

β"If you work well with a project, good things can come of it"βIf you work well with a project, good things can come of it. with bored ape yacht club during a recent community campaign and saw firsthand how reliable and engaged they are. Always on time, communicates clearly, and goes the extra mile without being asked. Their energy and support elevated the whole team. They had musicians, artists and fashion enthusiasts all engrossed with them and they brought us fresh fresh liquidity haha. You really can't talk NFTs without mentioning them. They presented art, culture, community, gaming, fashion, branding, you name it. They've done great things under Yuga's management and although they are not the top ip right now, they are still the most recognized world wide and i respect that for them.

βLOVE THE APE VIBE!βBAYC was my very first NFT. I bought 2 back when it was at .4 eth. Sadly, i got scammed and 1 was stolen. I made it a point to earn eth back and finally got a MAYC with the profits. I am a very happy ape and i've been to ApeFest HK before. I look forward to vibing with more apes in the future. BAYC and Yuga Labs have definitely made a huge impact in this space. For one, my good friend Jbond and his team have expanded Bored n Hungry. I'm a huge fan. I am also an active Baykada member from the Philippines and thankfully, BAYC and Yuga Labs have supported our group for a long time. I look forward to attending more events and meeting more apes globally! They have some of the nicest people in this space.
