Not really looking to relitigate ...”> **@LefterisJP:** > In order to understand what this means you need to know that Brantly was the main reason ENS got so popular back in 2021-2022. > > The same people who are now stealing the $500m canceled him and fired him even after all he did for ENS. > > Yet he did the unthinkable and kept working on ENS until today even after having been treated the way he was. Imagine the frustration of Labs. You fire the guy, you mount a canceling campaign against him ... and yet he does not stop working on the ecosystem. > > What this firing and canceling did not do, Nick and Labs managed to finally achieve today. In killing ENS by capturing the DAO and stealing its treasury there is no ecosystem to build on anymore. A naming system that people don't use is worthless. Shame it has come to that. > > And despite all that, Brantly and the team shows integrity again here by declining the $1.2m grant from the DAO to keep building on the ecosystem. As there is no ecosystem to build on anymore. > > They could have just taken it and slow rugged, but no they are people of integrity. I applaud Brantly and his team for doing so. > > The downside that's $1.2m more for Nick and Labs to steal through their "independent" foundation ... > **@Jefflau:** > At least present the facts correctly. You must really hate us, or you just don't care about telling the truth. > > > The same people who are now stealing the $500m canceled him and fired him even after all he did for ENS. > > Not $500m. And we're not stealing it. We also didn't cancel him. > > > you mount a canceling campaign against him ... and yet he does not stop working on the ecosystem. > > Again we did not 'mount a canceling campaign against him' > > > there is no ecosystem to build on anymore > > There still is, and it will grow and be better managed than before. > **@LefterisJP:** > Hate? Nah... > > I hold your team in contempt. And yes you did cancel him. I was here and saw it unfold. > > The treasury's value fluctuates due to the ENS token. When this whole thing started it was close to $500m. Now it's less. > > Bit more than $350m I believe. > > That can buy you an "ecosystem". So I am pretty sure you guys will be around pretending to matter for quite some time to come. > **@Jefflau:** > @LefterisJP Just saying you were there doesn't prove anything. If you ask Brantly yourself, despite our differences he will tell you otherwise. But I guess you don't actually care about the truth. > **@BrantlyMillegan:** > "If you ask Brantly yourself, despite our differences he will tell you otherwise." > > Not really looking to relitigate the cancellation right now but I have no idea what you're talking about, you and everyone at Labs absolutely did unjustly cancel me which has had an enormous material destructive effect on me and my family X post saved by: [@peceka](https://app.ethos.network/profile/x/peceka) Authored at: 2026-07-04T13:52:18.000Z Author user id: 518918278 Link to tweet: [link](https://x.com/BrantlyMillegan/status/2073404539802140682)

ENS DAO delegate, security council, former lead core team. Brantly is currently building ethID (Ethereum identity stack), EFP (Ethereum Follow Protocol) and Grails ENS marketplace. Oh, and also SIWE (Sign in with Ethereum). One of the top contributors to the ethereum and ENS ecosystem.

Username McUserface ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°) · 1460· 8mo ago6“An ethereum builder and passionate advocate”Brantly was the director of operations of ENS, he was the main guy behind the first integrations, he also directed the creation of the Dao, but he most importantly served as the liaison between the DAO/lab and the community. To say he was a vital link in the growth of the protocol, and of Ethereum in general, is an understatement. He excelled, with passion and warmth, in areas where many within the ENS leadership, even to this day, failed miserably. Few people know that he is also the creator of Sign in with Ethereum (SIWE)... Until a few weeks ago, he continued to contribute to the development of ENS through his (fee-free) Grails marketplace and the Ethereum Follow Protocol, among other things. Above all, what stands out to me is his tenacity, his faith in ENS and Ethereum, and his close relationship with users throughout all those years. He has decided to distance himself from ENS for the time being. I hope he will be back!
