“A Consistent Voice in DeFi”The crypto space changes incredibly fast, yet Camila has remained one of the few people who consistently covers the industry with depth instead of noise. Between her work at The Defiant and her writing on Ethereum, it's clear she cares about helping people understand how the ecosystem is evolving rather than simply following trends. That steady approach has earned my respect over the years.

“the standard for crypto media”Camila Russo spent eight years at Bloomberg covering emerging markets before leaving in 2019 to build The Defiant - now one of the most credible DeFi media platforms in the space. In 2020 she published The Infinite Machine, the first comprehensive account of Ethereum's history and still the definitive one. No promotions, no token shilling, no conflicts of interest on record. Just actual journalism at a time when most crypto content was hype or paid promotions dressed as analysis. What separates her from most accounts with her reach is the commitment to context not just reporting what happened, but why it matters. Deep research, investigative rigor, and a focus on facts over market noise. One of the rare follows in this space where the content improves your understanding rather than your anxiety.

“Where Great Journalism Meets Web3”Camila Russo (@CamiRusso) has established herself as one of the most credible and respected voices in the crypto industry. Rather than chasing hype or short-term narratives, she focuses on thoughtful reporting, in-depth analysis, and explaining why the technology behind crypto actually matters. Her background as a Bloomberg journalist gives her a level of professionalism that's uncommon in the fast-moving world of Web3. What makes Camila stand out is her ability to bridge traditional financial journalism with the rapidly evolving crypto ecosystem. After spending nearly a decade covering global markets at Bloomberg, she transitioned into crypto and founded The Defiant, one of the most recognized independent media platforms dedicated to DeFi and Web3. Instead of simply reporting headlines, The Defiant dives deep into protocols, governance, market trends, and the broader implications of decentralized finance.

“More Than Just Market Commentary”What I like about Camila's content is that it rarely feels limited to headlines. She often connects technology, finance and the people building the ecosystem into a much bigger story. That perspective makes her work enjoyable to read, especially for anyone trying to understand where DeFi and Ethereum are heading instead of only focusing on short term market moves. It's a style I genuinely appreciate.

“Someone Who Explains Instead of Chasing Hype”I've followed Camila's work on and off, and what keeps bringing me back is her focus on explaining ideas rather than feeding market excitement. Coming from a journalism background, she asks thoughtful questions and gives space to the bigger picture instead of reducing everything to price action. Even when I don't agree with every opinion, I usually finish reading with something new to think about, and that's what makes her content worth my time.
