Eclipse is a Layer 2 blockchain that promised fairness and community-driven development but systematically betrayed supporters through unfair token distribution, poor airdrop execution, and dismissive leadership. Early community members and ASC NFT holders who invested time and money felt farmed and excluded, while the team prioritized insiders and later engaged in bear-posting about their own project. The chain has become a ghost town with minimal adoption, abandoned apps, and widespread reports of scamming behavior, broken promises, and toxic community management.

“Gud tech, but not for the token distribution”Eclipse is a technically advanced modular Layer-2 that brings Solana's performance to Ethereum using the Solana VM, Celestia, and RISC Zero. It offers high throughput and low fees, backed by strong VC funding and a solid architecture. However, the token distribution has been criticized for favoring investors and insiders, with minimal rewards for early users. While the tech shows real promise, the current tokenomics may limit broader community support.

“Eclipse’s TGE: A Promising Idea Lost in a Chaotic Launch”Eclipse took a major hit right after its TGE, and the whole thing turned into a chaotic ride. Honestly, it might be the messiest launch of 2025 — and the issue goes far beyond the airdrop. When the project first appeared, it felt like it had real potential. A blend of $ETH and $SOL sounded exciting on paper. But once the TGE went live, the network was still rough, there were no engaging apps to try, and the NFT scene was completely inactive. To make matters worse, Alucard, the marketing manager, emptied the NFT ASC collection vault after the TGE, which only deepened the community’s frustration and distrust.

“Well, in Web 3 they don't do things with the community the way they did.”

“No utility”It has no real utility, just a baseless tech built to devs money. Onchain users were not rewarded

“web3 本该去中心化”你们却玩起了web2 查女巫，大失所望；失去灵魂的项目方一文不值

“They raised $50M and still fumbled the launch”I personally interacted with Eclipse ecosystem for months, they promised to reward genuine users, ended up farming their users as token launch was a disaster.

“The only positive thing about Eclipse is Eclipse's Intern.”

“And another one bites the dust”Main difference with Eclipse is that it's never really been adopted before failing. It just never found PMF and the few who tried it just left soon after. Lot of funding for not much afterall, And an intern who really needs to find a job more suited for his sarcastic and ironic posts.

“empty promises only”feels like a project built on speeches not actions the community deserves better than being used like this.
