Received · 3Given · 0“old story in crypto”Evmos started strong great vision, slick marketing, and a big airdrop that got everyone in Cosmos excited. For a while, it really looked like the next big thing. But while they chased growth and hype, they forgot the one rule of DeFi: security first. When the hack hit, everything fell apart users left, trust vanished, and all that early promise disappeared overnight. Just goes to show, in crypto, hype can get you noticed, but only real security keeps you alive.

“Security is not everything, but it is everything.”evmos started with all the right moves an ambitious vision, a polished marketing push, and a generous airdrop that instantly drew in atom holders and the broader cosmos community. for a while, it looked like evmos was set to become one of the core players in the expanding cosmos ecosystem. the team built momentum fast. their market grew, their ecosystem flourished, and excitement around “EVM compatibility on cosmos” felt like the next big leap for decentralized finance. everything was going according to plan until it wasn’t. while evmos focused heavily on growth and expansion, they neglected the single most important pillar of any defi platform: security. the liquidity pools, the contracts, and the users’ funds weren’t properly protected. And when the inevitable happened a hack it shattered the fragile trust the project had worked so hard to build. after the breach, the project’s momentum collapsed. users fled, confidence evaporated, and evmos slowly sank into the swamp of forgotten projects that once promised innovation but delivered disappointment. In the end, evmos serves as a brutal reminder that in web3, marketing can buy you attention, but only security earns you survival.
