GiveRep is a SocialFi platform on Sui that converts X engagement into on-chain reputation points (REP), with a core concept that resonates with some users but faces persistent criticism. Supporters praise the idea of quantifiable reputation, clean interface, and structured loyalty programs with real partners, while detractors consistently cite engagement farming, unclear algorithms, lack of transparency around point calculations and reward distribution, bot-heavy spam on timelines, and long delays without token launch or clear roadmap—leaving many feeling the project prioritizes promotion over genuine value creation.

“Самый ранний SocialFi”Это именно тот проект и та идея о SocialFi которую я увидел впервые на просторах твиттера. GiveRep – это первый проект который познакомил меня с этим направлением и показал наглядно как это работает в живую!

“Looks catchy but feels shallow”GiveRep comes across as all buzz and no real substance so far. The engagement feels surface-level, with lots of hype language but few clear details about actual utility or progress. It’s hard to tell what’s built versus what’s just being talked about, and that makes the presence feel less trustworthy. Overall, the vibe leans more toward noise than meaningful development, which makes it hard to back with confidence.

“Give to the people”Giverep known to be points accumulated projects but not all of their users were rewarded after engaging with them. This is so terrifying

“Positive”i discovered @GiveRep and it instantly made me feel something real. it feels kind honest and full of purpose. not just about tech but about people and recognition. every time i see an update it reminds me that small actions can matter. i love how it encourages positivity and giving credit where it is due. it feels warm and genuine in a space that can feel cold sometimes. this is the kind of project that quietly changes things for the better. proud to support and grateful to be part of this journey. big respect to @GiveRep and the vision behind it.

“GiveRep has caught my attention as being an interesting social-fi project”that incorporates reputation through activity, but there is a lot of noise from spammers and bots that make me want to just watch from the outside and consider doing my own research before I proceed any further.

“Top InfoFi project at Sui ecosysten”The platform's core concept is compelling: a decentralized reputation system that rewards creators and users for genuine engagement. Through REP points earned via social influence, trading, and community activity potentially linked to future airdrops it makes contributions visible. This fresh approach explains its traction in ecosystems like SUI. What's notable is GiveRep's attempt to balance rewards with community building. While earning REP by interacting with content or tagging can feel promotional and repetitive, it does drive participation. The link between social activity and on-chain reputation is intriguing. The mechanics need refinement for a less tedious experience, but the foundational idea of rewarding authentic engagement is solid and holds real potential for creators seeking meaningful recognition beyond typical Web3 hype.

“socialfi reputation layer with real engagement”i’ve seen this account share updates about giverep, a socialfi protocol on the suid network that turns x engagement into on-chain reputation points and tries to reward authentic participation. there’s a real community movement around earning rep points and leaderboards, and the concept feels like it’s encouraging quality interactions rather than just noise.
