MLO · 2071· 7mo ago48“Wants Upside without Accepting Downside”Moose came across my timeline recently as a marketer who promoted Basketball fun, a rug-in-the-making that only (slightly) course corrected by promising refunds after pressure from X and Ethos community. We are awaiting onchain verification of refunds and I will reply to this if those refunds are verified. As a note, I called it a rug on a review of a previous negative review of another marketer. I still believe it’s a rug, but that is a debate about semantics that distracts from the real issue: what the principle of skin in the game actually means. Moose joined an Ethos spaces and articulated that since this wasn’t a definitive rug, he should not be held at fault. All he did was promote the project. If it fails (whether it’s a rug or not), should his credibility be impacted? Moose does not believe so. I believe it should. Even if there were zero ill-intentions from the project or marketer, true skin in the game isn’t exclusively upside. As a marketer, if you take the upside (income, clout —> which leads to more income), you should also accept the downside (the reflection on your reputation for attaching your name to a project that fails, whether it is a rug or not). You can’t eat your cake and have it too. I hope Moose learns what skin in the game actually means, because his appearance on Ethos spaces demonstrated a complete lack of understanding this principle. Instead, it was a case study in terrible PR in pursuit of self preservation above all. Fin.

Aryeh · 1528· 1y ago17“Another large follower Influencer engagement farming accounts”Im sure Moose is a fine person IRL but on Twitter there is actually 0 reason to follow him unless you are a subscriber to him for his giveaways which I can at least say is only $1. That being said, there is actually 0 reason to follow him if you arent planning to sub to him. He constantly posts engagement farming tweets like "GM if you GM" or "I support small accounts" then engages with one person who has a good following. I know there are A LOT of people who are down horrendously and are holding out any hope on a giveaway win or maybe if theyre kind enough with engagements they will get some sort of recognition and it heavily feels like Moose takes advantage of that. Moose is a massive Pudgy and $pengu supporter which I can admire from his long standing relationship with Pudgy Penguins but if youre one of those many who is holding out hope that being kind and sucking him off is gonna make you any sort of money or compensation, please just go get a job.
