“LooksRare but hardly Looked”LooksRare came in hot, tried to take down OpenSea with a big token airdrop and flashy rewards. At first, it looked promising, but wash trading inflated numbers, and real user engagement didn’t stick. Over time, interest faded, $LOOKS tanked, and the hype died down. “A cool but ultimately failed experiment”LR did a lot of things right and tried a lot of new things, but ultimately they failed to capture enough of Opensea users to become a success. The site wasn't particularly usable in the early stages, with metadata refusing to load & collection search being completely broken.
