An NFT team with a long history in the community, known for collections like Pixelady, Bisou, Kemonokaki, and Kaijukaki across multiple chains. They've weathered significant controversies including the Base 9/14 server incident, Discord bans, and DMCA disputes, which have tested supporter loyalty despite their stated opposition to corporate overreach. Community members remain engaged with their mints and chain migrations, though trust has been strained by how they've handled these crises.

“If you don't stand for the values you claim to uphold, then what do you even represent?”Never expected to write a negative for this team, because I supported them for 2+ years now, even throughout the Base 9/14 server nuke and fight against soulless corporations. As a team that got constantly burned by corpos and alt chains: Base 9/14 event -> discord server nuke Abstract Pixelady mint Superchain (nonon crysalis) just shutting down their whole chain, so people had to rescue and bridge the crysalis nfts on short notice OS x McD Pixelady DMCA over golden arches even though the art was fair use etc So it truly was unexpected what they did. When you say things like "Ethereum will win", "return to mainnet" and "no more corpochains" only to pivot to the newest corpochain mid mint, then that just means your word is meaningless. If you don't stand for the values you claim to uphold, then what do you even represent? >The mint will take place back where we started, on Ethereum Mainnet. >Kaijukaki (Moved to Robinhood!) LOL A holder called out their hypocrisy in the server with the two liner quoted above. Those are just copy pasted statements from the team, basically the teams own words. A team member, the person whose idea it was to clone the collection over to robinhood, called that person a slur in response. Calling someone a slur is not the issue here (I support free speech), but that is not a valid response in those circumstances. Especially not from a team member. https://imgur.com/a/KLIqTsj That response to a holder who is calling out your hypocrisy while using your own words? Yikes. And that only happened because the person is not that active in the server and doesn't have his wallets connected for roles, so he can get called a slur because he is a "nobody" in the eyes of the team member in question. (That person is actually someone I know well, who also holds a considerable amount of assets - just that they are in multiple non-public wallets...) When I restated the same thing (as a top holder that holds all their collections, been there for 2+ years, etc) then suddenly it's "oh okay let's talk it out in VC". Amazing double standard. When I asked why, to be called a slur as well for sharing the same opinion on the hypocrisy - the response was "no, why would we do that?". Can't even stand on business and say the same thing to big holders, they have to cherrypick their responses because they know that porting to a corpochain mid mint ain't really it and everyone is displeased. I would have more respect if they called me a slur as well, because then at least it would show they stand behind their decision and treat holder opinions equally. Trying to tiptoe around big holders sharing the same opinions while hitting others with slurs is just another case of aura loss. Other team people being like "ohh where was this energy the past few months" is kinda hilarious when you consider the fact how often I've repped them over the past 2+ years, how many OC assets I gave away in total, and how many assets in general (OC & non-OC) I gave away during their spaces. HINT: more than the team. I thought OC is one of the few teams left that has any principles and actually stands for what they say. Return to mainnet means return to mainnet. It doesn't mean return to mainnet for 5 minutes and then clone the collection over to the newest shiny corpochain. "Return to mainnet and say NO to corpocha- woahhhh a new corpochain L2 yippie!" In the end they sold their soul for an additional 70 mints on robinhood chain. While ruining their reputation and showing everyone that they don't even stand for their own values. Amazing way to speedrun your reputation into the trash and get rid of your OG supporters that been there for years. GG WP. I want to add that OC is an artist collective that has a lot of artists, so not everyone is to blame here. That being said, that was a decision BY the collective. So even if it was opposed internally by some, most people must have decided to abandon their own principles and values. And that's concerning. You either stand for something or you fall for anything. If you don't stand for the values you claim to uphold, then what do you even represent?Username McUserface ( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°) · 1460· 50d ago · negative2
