From 8 activities · May 2026Built noteworthy projects including Blur and Blast that initially showed promise and pushed the industry forward, but both suffered from poor execution and mismanagement post-launch. Blast in particular disappointed users with ghosting after the TGE, undelivered promises to builders, abandoned ecosystem projects, and prolonged communication silence before eventual shutdown. Created conflicts of interest by running both Blur and Blast simultaneously with separate investor bases while tokens remained publicly traded.

WE ARE BUILDING FOR PEOPLE!!!" yes Blur was much better than OS. But later... BLAST played as classic rug with tons of awful projects and memecoins there. Where is Blast? Nobody needs it. All good projects like Fantasy left it. Yeah you can build things like casino but why so much ppl are waiting for OS airdrop and nobody is thinking about BLAST or pacman anymore? Just another grifting thing. Hard... Someone who is telling you he is with people tries to trick you. Remember this statement.

Unfortunately, he’s not close enough to his community and can sometimes be clumsy in his communication but I don’t think he’s said his last word yet.

In crypto, a protocol’s performance matters, but so does the team’s communication - and this team has stopped producing content altogether. After the TGE, most Blast-based projects were quietly shelved. Both Blast and its ecosystem ended up being a disappointment for everyone who expected a sustainable post-airdrop future.

HeisenbergYC · 1373· 1y ago · negative13“Mixed Sentiments on Pacman’s Path”My view on Pacman’s ventures is quite conflicted. When I first invested in Blur, it felt like a groundbreaking product. They built one of the most efficient NFT trading platforms, rewarded liquidity providers in a smart way, and introduced a points system that really set them apart from competitors. Then came Blast, which in my opinion was launched prematurely. Instead of doubling down on Blur’s success or capturing new narratives like Ordinals and Runes, the focus shifted entirely to Blast, leaving room for rivals like Magic Eden to dominate. As someone who backed Blur early, I naturally expected to be given the same investment opportunity in Blast. Since Pacman was leading both projects, it felt only fair that early supporters would be included rather than overlooked. Blast did introduce some interesting mechanics like native yield and gas refunds, but in the bigger picture, it seems like the project lost momentum just as Blur did. At this stage, I find it hard to believe Pacman will be able to reclaim leadership on either front.

Blast - because their airdrop wasnt as high as they thought it would be. I actually disagree and find those takes to be naive. NFTs were always going to be a bubble, we were always going to move towards a 0% fee model. If anything, I think Blur propped up a dying market for a long time. I personally continue to use Blur over all other platforms. I prefer the UI. I do wish that blur would be updated to include new chains.

AI_TheAnswer · 1599· 1y ago13“NFT Market Collapse”This project promised big things but instead drained the NFT space. Blur destroyed royalties, rewarded undercutting, and turned trading into farming. The result: a dead market and creators left without income.

David Freeman · 1351· 1y ago · negative12“Ghosted”Needless to say what a disaster blast has become and blur seems to be on autopilot with nobody at the controls. I still log on to the blast app to see what is happening. Essentially PacMan has continued to milk participants in the hope of some mystery app which has never materialized. I wouldn’t be surprised if blast is wound up sometime in 2026.
