Instead of needing massive, expensive data centers and a lot of $$$, that only big tech can afford, they're proving you can train different AI models by getting people around the world to contribute their computing power together. It's like crowdsourcing AI development. Blockchain is perfect for this in my opinion. It's an interesting idea and definitely a hot topic right now. And they've already pulled this off with their INTELLECT-1 and INTELLECT-2 models using this completely new approach to distributed training. Pretty wild that they made it work at that scale. Also, you can actually rent GPU instances on their website for your own AI training, which is cool. Really looking forward to participating in the training of their next model. And they're backed by Founders Fund, so they've got some serious support behind this vision. This could genuinely democratize AI development (already?) and break the monopoly of the tech giants.
