Getting one’s head around TEE is definitely not a piece of cake, but this is the simplest analogy I can provide: imagine that your computer/server/data center or whatever is your kingdom. Your lands are vast and fecund and not only peasants, but rogues and bandits (hackers and malware), roam freely through your domain. However, your most valuable possessions (such as wallets’ seed phrases and private keys, sensitive personal data, AI companions and whatever you can think of) are stored in an impenetrable fortress with multiple layers of thick walls and guarded gates. Furthermore, all your treasured property is encrypted and placed in decentralized passages and chambers – all built by Rena Labs. This is the beauty of TEE – it makes sure that whoever wanders around your grounds and even sneaks into your device or network - can’t touch, see or steal what’s inside. Not even your guards (your OS, for instance) have access to whatever you have stored inside the fortress. Rena Labs is essentially building the strongest fortress in Web3 and crypto realm and such fortress empowers everyone – from traders and crypto enthusiasts to developers and users. These are not empty words - Rena Labs have already brought onto the market several key products that are showcasing their technology in action and one of them is Insider.Cash. A notable case is the recent analysis of the MYX token linked to MYX Finance DEX. Insider.Cash was able to spot a serious manipulation, probably the largest Sybil attack in crypto history, when 9.8 million MYX tokens were claimed in an airdrop event by a single entity via numerous fake wallets aiming to harvest nearly 1% of total token supply. Due to the timely alert the crypto community, investors and the crypto community were enabled to be more cautious, potentially avoiding losses from blind participation or rushing into a shameless manipulation which seemed like a normal demand-driven price surges. Their Trusted Execution Environments (TEE)-based infrastructure enables developers to run AI models, agents, and sensitive computations with hardware-level protection of user data, while retaining the ability to cryptographically verify the correctness of computations. The project has excellent prospects of becoming the standard for trusted computing in Web3.
