“An example of how to be compassionate in compliance”Much of what I want to say is contained in my review of Blockaid: https://app.ethos.network/activity/review/707889/the-right-and-compassionate-way-to-do-compliance But I will reproduce the key points below: Over the past week, all of my wallets were banned from Hyperliquid, Opensea, CEXs and many other platforms simply because I unwittingly used HTX in the days following a UK sanction against them on May 26th 2026, which I was unaware of. Article explaining the situation in full: https://x.com/0xasrequired/status/2064516523838800001 Blockaid, GoPlus and Nominis mark my wallets as benign because they take a more nuanced approach to risk, while Chainalysis, TRM and Elliptic, all paint every wallet that has ever touched HTX with the same brush, blacklisting millions of wallets and probably ruining millions of lives. I connected with Seth from LobsterDAO and I want to thank him for being compassionate and helpful to a random cold DMing him on TG. He kindly ran my wallets through their checks and confirmed that they were benign, which provided some hope in an otherwise dire and very difficult situation for me. Even if little can be done to help, I truly appreciate at least being treated like a human being with feelings whose life has been derailed by something I had no knowledge or involvement in.
