Smokey is the Chief Smokey Officer and co-founder of Berachain, known for consistent community engagement, transparent communication about ecosystem growth, and active presence during both the project's early success and subsequent challenges. Early testers received substantial rewards and airdrops, though the chain has struggled with token price and TVL decline post-launch. While widely praised for personality, accessibility, and fostering builder culture on Berachain, some view the project as an unsuccessful extraction despite the $100M raise at $1.5B valuation.

“great lad”Smokey The Bera 🐻⛓ is pure CT personality, equal parts memelord, shitposter, and bear market tour guide. The handle alone sets the tone: playful, a little self-aware, and clearly deep in the crypto trenches.

“Smokey The Bera”In the ever-noisy world of Web3, Smokey The Bera is a name that doesn’t need shouting — it carries weight all on its own. What he’s building with Bera Chain isn’t just another link in the chain; it feels like a heartbeat of something fresh and genuinely different. What I admire most is that Smokey leads with presence. He doesn’t just talk to the community — he talks with them. He listens, jokes, reflects, and builds in real-time. That rare blend of humility, vision, and sharp technical instinct is something I don’t see often. The Bera ecosystem didn’t appear overnight — it was shaped from scratch, brick by brick, with intention and care. You can feel the fingerprints of someone who truly understands what he’s building and why. And beyond the tech? He’s a joy to interact with. His posts carry wit, warmth, and just the right amount of chaos. There’s a human behind the code — and that, to me, is what makes all the difference.

“Owner of Beta Chain”Built one of the best chains. The chain with a bear on it. Still believe Bera will do well in the long run

“Steady presence, builder-first energy”Smokey the Bera is one of the realest in the space no ego, no noise, just pure signal and consistency. The kind of person who shows up day after day, puts in the work, and adds value without needing to make a show of it. What I really respect about Smokey is the clarity. Whether it’s breaking down a narrative, highlighting a project early, or just curating alpha with taste there’s always intention behind it. Nothing’s ever rushed or shallow. He sees things before most do, and more importantly, knows how to communicate them in a way that actually lands. But beyond the alpha, it’s the way he carries himself. Steady presence, builder-first energy, and always plugged into what matters not just chasing hype, but helping direct attention toward what’s real. You can tell Smokey is here for the long game, and it shows in everything he does

“Bera”I have only negative emotions with Bera, but this is just my personal opinion. In general, I have no complaints about them, it's a matter of taste

“Friendly founder”I have been following Smokey for quite a while, in my opinion he is a founder who is very friendly to his community, even when Berachain was still in the testnet phase, Smokey often interacted with his followers and occasionally he often joked and made shitposts.

“fair leader”I've known Smokey The Bera since the Bera network testnet. He's a humble and helpful person who can help people. Don't hesitate to ask him any questions. When I looked at his ethos profile, I realized that people weren't giving Smokey the reviews he deserved.

“Smokey The Bera Just Gets It”Smokey The Bera i the face of the Berachain. He’s got this perfect mix of memes, good vibes, and ecosystem updates that make his posts easy to follow and enjoyable. Even though his posts are playful, it’s clear that Smokey really cares about the community. He’s the kind of person who makes the ecosystem feel welcoming and fun, and following him feels like being part of the inside crew.
