Smokey is the Chief Smokey Officer and co-founder of Berachain, known for consistent community engagement, transparent communication about ecosystem growth, and active presence during both the project's early success and subsequent challenges. Early testers received substantial rewards and airdrops, though the chain has struggled with token price and TVL decline post-launch. While widely praised for personality, accessibility, and fostering builder culture on Berachain, some view the project as an unsuccessful extraction despite the $100M raise at $1.5B valuation.

“BERA Boss, trasparent leader!”Smokey is the perfect boss for Berachain. He always listens to the Beras and tries to improve Bera every day... He supports young and ambitious projects, and I hope Polar can be the next AI project supported by Smokey! He is a transparent boss who always shows his face, even in difficult times. We are confident that he will lead Berachain to where it deserves to be through continuous work and development.

“berachain founder”I’ve known Smokey from the early days of Berachain. He’s clearly put a lot of work into building and growing the project. It’ll be interesting to see how the ecosystem develops over time, but his effort and commitment are hard to ignore.

“founder who worked hard for berachain”Smokey the Bera is the hardworking founder behind Berachain. He has put in tremendous effort to build and grow the chain, making it one of the more talked about projects in recent cycles. However, it will be interesting to see how Berachain performs in the long run. While the core chain is progressing, their NFTs have lost traction and couldn’t sustain momentum after the TGE. The big question now is whether the ecosystem can evolve beyond the hype and deliver lasting value.

“Like a little brother to me”Smokey is that dude! He keeps it 100 and isn’t above engaging with negative sentiment. He cares about the Berachain community and continues to try and drive value back to the chain and token holders.

“Smokey is the meme-loving, community-h hyping mascot of Berachain.”SmokeyTheBera is the official account representing the Berachain ecosystem, with a vibrant and informal approach to communication. The account combines crypto enthusiasm, memes, and an energetic style, making it appealing to a young audience, especially Generation Z. It acts as a kind of “mascot” for Berachain, actively interacting with the community and promoting the project. He regularly answers questions, participates in discussions, and maintains hype around Berachain, which strengthens user loyalty. Smokey shares news about the development of the ecosystem, such as the launch of PoL (Proof of Liquidity) v1.2 and the concept of the Berachain App Store, making complex topics accessible through light and understandable content. Sometimes, the overly informal and meme-style tone may not be to everyone's taste, especially for a more serious audience expecting in-depth technical analysis. Some posts may seem too disjointed, making them difficult to understand for newcomers to the Berachain ecosystem.

“A Steady and Honest Leader in Berachain”I’ve been following Berachain for a few years and really appreciate Smokey’s leadership. He’s active in the community, communicates often, and handles things with honesty and transparency. In a fast-moving space like crypto, his clear and steady approach is refreshing. It’s one of the main reasons I enjoy being part of the Berachain ecosystem

“Bera king”He’s respected for a reason: consistent support, clear thinking, and the ability to highlight what really matters in a fast-moving space.

“Bera Bera-Berachain”I’ve been watching Smokey the Bera, co-founder of Berachain, and his approach is a rare mix of ambition and humility. He helped build this Cosmos-SDK based L1 from the ground up, leaning into EVM compatibility and a novel Proof-of-Liquidity consensus model that rewards liquidity providers rather than traditional stakers. This unique angle caught my attention early on. What really stood out, though, was how he handled missteps specifically, regret over selling too much of the BERA supply to VCs. Instead of icing over the issue, he publicly acknowledged it and announced a buyback plan to restore balance for the community. That kind of transparency isn’t common in crypto leadership. He’s also been thoughtful about Berachain’s resilience as outlined at Consensus 2025 embracing partnerships with Web2 businesses to protect the network from crypto’s wild reflexive swings. That shows he’s not just thinking about hype; he’s building for stability. In short, Smokey feels like a leader who learns in public, adjusts course when needed, and strives to deliver real, long-term value not just headlines.
