Somnia is a high-performance Layer 1 EVM-compatible blockchain delivering 1M TPS, sub-second finality, and sub-cent fees, purpose-built for gaming, metaverses, and real-time applications. The project earned strong community trust through a fair airdrop distribution to testnet participants and consistent post-launch engagement, with many users praising the fast, low-cost experience and polished games like Sparkball and Chunk. While some note early technical issues, occasional app instability, and concerns about long-term utility amid competing L1s, the team's transparency, active development, and community-first approach have cultivated lasting loyalty—many participants remained engaged after token launch rather than departing, a rarity in the space.

“A little bit of Somnia technology”Somnia is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain designed to support real-time consumer applications: gaming, metaverses, social apps, DeFi, and more. It uses an architecture called MultiStream Consensus, a custom database (IceDB), compiled execution of EVM bytecode, data compression, and, more, all to deliver high speed, low fees, and sub- second finality.

“Dreamy but Grounded Crypto Builder”Somnia Network gives off the vibe of a project that’s building with vision. They talk about gaming, Web3 worlds, immersive experiences—and they seem serious about making something meaningful, not just flashy graphics. Their updates often mix roadmap details, metaverse/dev integrations, and community focus stuff. You can tell they want users to feel part of the build, not just spectators. Even though the theme feels “fantasy / immersive,” there’s a clear undercurrent of tech discipline. It’s the kind of account that raises your expectations: dreams + execution.

“an overrated project”another useless chain with a lot of seasons

“Building the Future”one of the few projects pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the open metaverse space. Their approach to interoperability, onchain identity, and virtual experiences feels both ambitious and well-executed. The team communicates clearly and consistently, and their tech roadmap actually makes sense. Definitely one to watch if you're serious about the future of digital presence and Web3 social layers.

“Somnia Is Quietly Changing the Metaverse Game”Somnia is quietly building one of the most interesting metaverse infrastructures right now. It’s not just about virtual worlds—it’s about interoperability, digital identity, and giving creators real ownership. The focus on open standards makes it stand out from the typical closed ecosystems. If you're into the idea of a connected multiverse instead of fragmented platforms, Somnia feels like the right bet. Plus, the team seems community-first, which is rare in this space. Early days, but definitely one to watch.

“METAVERSE AND INTEROPERABILITY”They want to create a layer that connects all virtual worlds, their metaverse ID system is proof they are getting bigger on persistent identity. I am curious about the way they handle onboarding and network effects.

“Steady progress and visible post-airdrop commitment”I’ve been keeping an eye on Somnia for a while, particularly around the period after their airdrop distribution. What I find notable is that the team has remained visibly active — they continue posting updates, maintaining communication, and showing signs that development is still moving forward rather than going silent after the initial campaign. It’s true that not everyone in the community was satisfied with the airdrop outcome, which is fairly typical in many early-stage projects. That said, from my own observation of their recent activity and public updates, the team still appears engaged and focused on building.

“5/5 Stars For SOMNIA – A Game-Changer for Web3 Gaming!”I've been actively participating in the Somnia ecosystem since their devnet launch, and I can confidently vouch for their credibility. Somnia, developed by the powerhouse Improbable team (backed by over $800M in investments), is delivering on its promise as a high-performance Layer 1 EVM blockchain tailored for gaming and metaverse applications. Their testnet handles hundreds of thousands of TPS with seamless efficiency, making it a true innovator in scalable, user-friendly crypto infrastructure. What stands out most is their commitment to community and transparency, evident in the Proof-of-Humanity (PoH) requirements and the PoA Badge system powered by Nomis AI, which rewards genuine on-chain activity and weeds out bots. As someone who's minted my PoA Badge after racking up scores through faucet interactions, social tasks, and testnet transactions, I've seen firsthand how Somnia fosters real engagement without the usual crypto hype traps. No rug pulls or empty promises here; just solid tech driving toward a future airdrop for active contributors.Somnia isn't just building a chain, they're building trust in Web3. Their ethos aligns perfectly with ethical innovation, making them a top pick for anyone serious about decentralized gaming. Highly recommend staking your reputation on them; they've more than earned my vouch and a perfect credibility boost!

“Ghost chain”Yet another useless l1 no one asked for, i see most reviews from months back calling it the fastest l1, its probably the fastest l1 because no one will use it, the mainnet apparently launched few hours ago, i do understand that decentralization allows for anyone to build anything, but we need to call a spade a spade, no one knows this prod, and as a l1 its most likely not needed in the first place, i stand to be corrected but before invesring your time and energy on any thing related to their ecosystem, it would be nice if you make your findings, just incase they inflate their stats in the future for this reason

“"neutral take on somnia"”i’ve been testing somnia for a bit, tried some quests and apps. the idea of a gaming / metaverse l1 is interesting, but the execution still feels early some things work, some dont. honestly i didn’t end up being eligible for the airdrop, so maybe my view is a bit different. overall, i’ll keep watching how the project develops, but for now it’s more wait and see
