From 384 activities · Apr 2026Somnia is a high-performance Layer 1 EVM-compatible blockchain delivering 1M TPS, sub-second finality, and sub-cent fees, purpose-built for gaming, metaverses, and real-time applications. The project earned strong community trust through a fair airdrop distribution to testnet participants and consistent post-launch engagement, with many users praising the fast, low-cost experience and polished games like Sparkball and Chunk. While some note early technical issues, occasional app instability, and concerns about long-term utility amid competing L1s, the team's transparency, active development, and community-first approach have cultivated lasting loyalty—many participants remained engaged after token launch rather than departing, a rarity in the space.

Daemial · 1284· 1y ago · neutral8“A high speed L1 + Metaverse & Gaming focused EVM chain”Somnia's the first EVM-compatible L1 to hit over a million transactions per second. It is a breakthrough in speed that does not compromise decentralization or security. The Somnia network is also geared toward building metaverses and games. Somnia offers open worlds that are composable and gives creators complete ownership of it. Somnia is also making it easier to onboard web2 games to web3. Developers are building fully on-chain games which was a challenge in past

AXIS · 1226· 1y ago8“Connecting Worlds at Speed”Tried the Somnia testnet and loved the near instant transactions tiny fees and smooth EVM contract deployment. MultiStream Consensus and IceDB make everything fast and Somnia Passport makes moving between metaverse worlds easy. Still early but it’s got big potential.

“Great project!”Somnia Networks is doing something genuinely exciting in the metaverse space. They're building the kind of tech that actually solves real problems like making virtual worlds work together and run smoothly. It’s early, but the vision is clear, and the team seems focused on creating something open, fast, and user-friendly. If you're keeping an eye on where Web3 and the metaverse are headed, Somnia is worth a look.

Lobo · 1327· 1y ago8“Fastest L1 and Great Community”Somnia is positioning itself to become the fastest and most scalable Layer 1 for gaming and entertainment, capable of 1M+ TPS, sub second finality, and sub cent fees. The Shannon testnet, launched in February 2025, has already handled over a billion transactions and supports more than 60 active projects, including playable titles like Sparkball and Variance. The network's infrastructure is powered by advanced features like MultiStream consensus, IceDB, compiled EVM bytecode, and partnerships with providers like Google Cloud all built to support real time, on chain games at scale. Somnia also offers a quests platform where users can earn points via daily activity, swaps, referrals, and ecosystem interaction often seen as early positioning for a potential airdrop. As someone who's checking in every day and excited for the upcoming TGE, I feel aligned with the project's momentum and ambition. The ecosystem is moving fast, partnerships are strong, and being active now could put me in a great spot before mainnet launches.
