Founder and CEO of Aave, one of DeFi's most resilient and battle-tested lending protocols with billions in TVL. Known for steady execution, long-term vision, and shipping products that actually last through multiple market cycles—from EthLend through Aave's dominance to experimental work with Lens Protocol. Respected as an OG builder who prioritizes infrastructure and open finance over hype, though recent governance tensions around Aave Labs and the DAO over revenue control and token purchases have drawn scrutiny.

“true visionary and leader in the blockchain and DeFi space”As the founder of Lens Protocol, he pioneered the idea of decentralized social media, giving users full control over their data and online interactions. I’m registered on the Lens platform and actively use it, but there aren’t many users there yet, and it still hasn’t gained widespread popularity.

“DeFi OG & Aave Captain”so @StaniKulechov is Stani Kulechov—the founder and CEO of Aave, one of the biggest DeFi lending platforms out there. he actually started it back in 2017 as ETHLend, then it evolved into Aave with smart contracts, flash loans, and all the DeFi building blocks people know today. he’s got a law degree from the University of Helsinki but ended up deep in crypto, building protocols instead of practicing law. on X his vibe isn’t just hype, he tweets with a mix of technical insights, product vision, and sometimes founder-style advice for other builders. overall he feels like a legit DeFi pioneer who helped shape lending in crypto and still pushes the ecosystem forward.

“"Builder Who Changed DeFi and Web3 Social"”Stani built Aave, one of the most trusted lending protocols in DeFi, and proved that decentralized finance can actually work at scale. Later, he launched Lens Protocol to give creators real ownership of their content and on-chain identity. He’s not just making products he’s setting the direction for the space. Consistent, open, and always pushing forward, Stani is the kind of founder Web3 needs more of.

“Stani Kulechov continues to drive DeFi innovation through Aave, GHO”I’ve followed Stani Kulechov for some time, and his role as the founder of Aave shows how deeply committed he is to advancing DeFi. From building one of the most liquid lending markets to launching the GHO stablecoin, his vision consistently pushes the ecosystem forward. His recent focus on Aave Horizon and real-world assets, already attracting $50M in deposits and partners like WisdomTree, highlights a broader ambition to bridge traditional finance with onchain liquidity. Stani remains one of the most influential builders shaping the future of decentralized finance.

“A Builder Who Shaped DeFi”Stani is one of the names you can’t ignore in crypto — a builder who helped shape DeFi into what it is today. His posts reflect both the vision and the grind of creating real protocols, and you can feel the long-term perspective behind them. What I like is that he balances thought leadership with genuine community engagement, which makes the profile feel accessible even at that level. A must-follow if you care about where DeFi is headed.
