From 29 activities · Apr 2026Founder and CEO of Aave, one of DeFi's most resilient and battle-tested lending protocols with billions in TVL. Known for steady execution, long-term vision, and shipping products that actually last through multiple market cycles—from EthLend through Aave's dominance to experimental work with Lens Protocol. Respected as an OG builder who prioritizes infrastructure and open finance over hype, though recent governance tensions around Aave Labs and the DAO over revenue control and token purchases have drawn scrutiny.

His leadership has been crucial to Aave’s success in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Beyond the platform itself, Stani is a powerful voice in the crypto community, continuously shaping the future of DeFi and Web3. His ability to drive innovation and create solutions that push the boundaries of blockchain technology has made him one of the most respected figures in the space. Aave’s success is a direct reflection of his determination and expertise, and it’s clear that Stani's influence will continue to play a significant role in the growth of the entire crypto ecosystem.

0xRichard · 1294· 1y ago7“Builder Who Keeps Delivering”I’ve used Aave regularly, and it’s hands down one of the most reliable and well-designed protocols in DeFi. What stands out is how consistent Stani has been ,not just with Aave, but also with newer experiments like Lens. You can tell he actually cares about making the space more open and usable, not just for whales or insiders, but for everyday users too. We need more long-term thinkers like him in crypto.

“Og”Stani is an OG how is possible that his score is so low? Aave alone should just teleport him at the top of the leaderboard. He is a real builder and Ethereum OG.
